Every day more and more vapers choose RDA. Vapers was chosen because the best RDA will provide better flavor and greater cloud production.
RDA is an atomizer that allows you to build coils with different resistors. You can customize vape using different shapes, sizes, coil counts and wire types. With resistor wire and cotton, you can change the characteristics of RDA vape in the following ways
- Maximize cloud production
- Maximize flavor
- Reduce startup time
- Fine-tuning power consumption
Select to run one or more coils! RDA, also known as “dripper,” lets you drop directly on the atomizer coil. This means you can get the freshest flavor situating directly from the e-juice bottle. Once you try to use RDA, you may never go back. The taste is unparalleled. They are used with a few drops of E-liquid and give you a fresh and clean taste each time you drop a drop.
These features make RDA ideal and make it the first choice for those seeking to get the best flavor and a strong sense of light.
Although, RDA is usually suitable for experienced vapers. Not everyone likes to build their own coils, and even why it’s worth it. Once you have RDA and start building, you’ll understand the benefits, and building a coil will be well worth the rewards.
Choosing the best RDA or drip is looking for the ultimate RDA flavor and producing a lot of vapor. In the never-ending hardware version, this is our current list of top-level RDAs.
Best RDA Vape
#7 Recurve RDA review
The Recurve RDA is truly built like no other. Its design is impressive, easy to use, and creates the ultimate vaping experience. This RDA is 24 mm in diameter, which is just wide enough to provide space without feeling too bulky. This unit has a very deep juice well. It is made out of a 316 stainless steel alloy, making it durable. It will be a great tool to bring on-the-go without having to worry about the potential damage that could occur.
As previously mentioned, this RDA has a bow-shaped wall sleeve designed to create the best hits possible. It also has a unique postless, four-terminal build platform. The benefits of this postless deck RDA include having a lot more room to wick. It can also enhance airflow, making for higher quality vapor and enhanced flavor.
This RDA is designed for single coil configurations. One of the main benefits is that they use less battery. Single coils also waste less vape juice and are generally easier to rebuild for sessions. This RDA enhances all of these benefits. The Recurve is also top-secured via a reliable hex screw. This hex screw holds the unit steady during use and transportation.
The 24 mm Wotofo Recurve RDA has many great features that make it such a fantastic product. For starters, it has PEEK Insulators, which are great for protecting against heat. It also has six small air slots on both sides of the unit. Most units do not come with such a high number of airflow holes. Because the Wotofo Recurve RDA has so many spaces for air entrance, it produces large, easy hits every time. It also allows for two directional airflows. Most units can only take in air, but the Recurve can push it out as well. Its airflow is truly second to none.
The Recurve gives users a direct-to-coil chamber effect, which speeds up the amount of time it takes to produce a solid hit. This feature also helps save vape juice. This product has an 810 Delrin Widebore drip tip; however, its producers were thinking ahead. They also included a 510 drip tip adapter that makes this product universally easier to use. The last of the features for the Recurve is a squonk-ready bottom-feeding 510 pin and a 24K gold-plated 510 connection. With so many excellent features, this RDA is pretty hard to top.
Performance of the Wotofo Recurve RDA
The performance of this RDA will be a pleasant surprise. This product is great, especially for creating large clouds. Plus, it is easy to use thanks to its open platform plan. Beginners will find themselves getting the hang of building on the 24 mm Recurve in no time. Even though it is easy to use though, it is still high quality and presents a lot of options for building.
Experienced vapers will find that this unit provides them will all of the RDA options they need for their dream session. It is rare to find an RDA that accommodates both beginners and vape gods alike. It is important to note that this unit is not for lazy vapers though. Like most RDAs and vaping tools in general, needs to be cleaned regularly. The Wotofo Recurve is for users who take pride in their belongings and keep them in tip-top shape.
Pros and cons
- Smooth airflow
- Really good flavor
- Great vapor production (for a single-coil RDA)
- Unique curvy look
- Comfortable curvy 810 drip tips
- Excellent build quality
- Many accessories
- Flawless squonking
- Hard to make it leak
- Perfect match for single-battery squonk mods

#6 Drop Dead RDA review
The Digiflavor Drop and Dead Rabbit are already two good looking RDAs. So it comes as no surprise that their love child, the Drop Dead RDA, is quite an attractive tank. From the outside, the Drop Dead RDA looks more like the Dead Rabbit. It shares the same knurling on the top cap as on the Dead Rabbit, and also features a modified Dead Rabbit logo engraved into the front of the tank. This logo has two “D’s” back-to-back, for Drop Dead.
As expected from a collaboration of this caliber, the Drop Dead is extremely well machined. The logo engraving and knurling are precisely etched, and all pieces of the tank are cleanly machine-cut. The paint quality is also a huge plus with the Drop Dead. I’ve had no problems with the paint chipping or flaking. Even after a few drops onto hard surfaces, there’s not even so much as a scratch on this baby.
You get two 810 drip tips with the Drop Dead: one is resin like on the Dead Rabbit RDA, and one is frosted like on the Drop RDA. Very cool. On the resin drip tip there’s a decorative ring that says “HELLVAPE”. This ring goes around the base of the drip tip, and seamlessly blends to appear as one piece. However, this decorative ring will not work with the frosted drip tip.
As mentioned earlier, the top cap on the Drop Dead RDA features knurling, and this makes it very easy to grip. It’s also extremely easy to turn the top cap and adjust the airflow; it works smooth as butter. This is a welcome improvement, as both the Dead Rabbit and Drop have top caps that are a bit of a pain to turn.
The airflow on the Drop Dead is again a mix of its parent RDAs. The airflow is positioned near the top of the tank, like on the Dead Rabbit, but is composed of little holes like on the Drop. In total, there are twenty eight airflow holes on the Drop Dead. This is split into fourteen airflow holes on each side of the tank, arranged into two rows of seven holes.
But there’s more to the airflow than meets the eye. While the mid cap of the Drop Dead appears to have the same locking top cap as the Drop, this is merely an engraving. However, the Drop Dead does have a unique internal locking mechanism of its own that helps in adjusting the airflow.
Once you have the Drop Dead secured onto a mod, you’re able to twist the mid cap and adjust the position of the airflow holes relative to your coils. This is genius because even if you close off one side of the airflow, you can still reposition the open airflow holes to be centered on your coils. This gives you the ability to restrict your draw while maintaining equal airflow to both sides of your coil, and this makes a big difference in how this tank vapes.
Removing the mid cap will reveal the build deck, as well as the double o-rings that secure the mid cap. These o-rings are great quality and hold the cap snug. Similar to the top cap, the mid cap is also easy to turn.
The build deck on the Drop Dead RDA consists of four posts, seated in a very deep 5mm juice well. The posts on the Drop Dead are the same as found on the Drop RDA, and allow you to easily drop in your leads without pre-measuring. The terminals are also very large, and will allow you to fit two, even three leads in each. The negative and positive posts are also color coded in stainless steel and gold plating, as on the Dead Rabbit.
If you install the squonk pin, it sticks up a bit in the center of the deck. This allows a bit of juice to stay in the juice well after you squonk, and saturate your wicks when needed.
When it comes to design and build quality, the Drop Dead RDA is solid. Hellvape have thoughtfully taken the best features of two RDAs, and created a masterpiece rather than a mash up.
Pros and cons
- Looks good
- Excellent build quality
- Easy to use deck
- Brilliant airflow control
- Great flavor
- Smooth airflow
- Deep juice well
- Two drip tips
- Tons of spares
- The top cap can get hot if chain vaping
- Snipping coils legs can be fiddly
#5 Profile RDA review
Features of the Profile 24mm RDA
The RDA stands out from the competitors because of its top notch features. With a mesh coil design, it provides more airflow than ever, resulting in a bigger, more intense flavor experience. Its design also stands out for being sleek, yet functional and easy to use. Easy to assemble, this is a great rebuildable dripping atomizer for vape levels of all experiences.
The RDA is dubbed “the juice taster RDA” and for good reason- users get an intense flavor experience unlike any other piece of equipment on the market. It uses mesh coils, which allows for plenty of airflow creating a stronger, more intense flavor profile. This feature creates a rich taste from any e-juice used. Users will feel like they are tasting their e-liquid for the first time again. The mesh coils are especially great for customized e-juice flavors because they break it down layer by layer. Users are able to taste the profile of each e-liquid used, creating a brand new, well-blended taste. When users bring the drip tip to their lips, they will be blown away by how this rebuildable dripping atomizer brings out the entire taste profile of their favorite liquids.
Mesh Heating Element
The coils for this RDA are a mesh style and are made from top quality Kanthal A1. They work at a resistance of 0.18ohm and perform best at a wattage of 40-60W. The mesh provides ample airflow, amplifying the flavor profile of any e-juice. This feature lends itself to big clouds, huge hits, and a smooth taste. The heating element also works as a cool vape or a warm vape- it is truly versatile and a great vape accessory for any user.
Easily switch types of coils
The Profile RDA is best suited for a mesh coil, however, if users prefer a traditional wire model , the mesh can be easily swapped out. Using wide clamp posts with side securing elements, the mesh coil can be easily removed for a wire style one to be put in. The secure side clamps ensure that it stays in place so the user can vape with peace of mind that their equipment is secure. This rebuildable dripping atomizer is compatible with any type of coil, giving users a customizable vape experience.
The Profile has a mesh rebuildable platform that is the peak of convenience for users. Outfitted with a spring-loaded ceramic middle support, this piece lets users customize their vape experience with ease. The spring-loaded deck makes it so that the cotton wick will not fall down when saturated by e-liquid. Burnt hits are a thing of the past, as this feature ensures the cotton wick will stay in place, even when weighed down by e-liquid. The deck gives users a smooth hit every time provides peace of mind that the cotton wick is exactly where it is supposed to be.
Made of Kanthal A1, the Profile is a high-quality piece of equipment that is built to last. It runs at a resistance of 0.18ohm is best suited for the wattage of 40W-60W. It gives the user smooth hits and big clouds and has attracted many fans since hitting the market. Its performance is similar to that of other RDAs on the market, but the thing that sets the Profile RDA apart is its mesh coil and gravity-defying, spring-loaded ceramic deck. Its performance is what makes it a favorite. Smooth hits and giant clouds attract users, and intense flavor is what keeps them coming back for more.
Pros and cons
- Mesh coil design
- Increased airflow
- Intense flavor experience
- Spring-loaded ceramic deck
- Easy to use and attractive
- Top cap could be tighter
#4 Loop V1.5 RDA review
Initial Impressions on Geekvape Loop V1.5 RDA
When I first got this RDA, it made perfect sense why it was called the Loop v1.5 and not the loop 2. It’s really not much different from the Loop RDA I reviewed already earlier this year. The only differences is the airflow holes now have slots instead of a oval hole and on the inside instead of an open hole it has a spaced out honeycomb like airflow. Here is the crazy thing about this RDA. If the original came out first, I’d probably love this RDA, but after having the original, it doesn’t seem different enough to justify being made.
Build Deck and Wicking
Let’s talk about the build deck now. Since they copied the original Loop deck I’ll just copy and paste my explanation from that deck and make necessary updates. It’s made for dual coils. There is an air option to close off 1 side for a single coil mode, but I didn’t use it and wouldn’t really bother using a single coil in this RDA.
The deck when broken down to basic concepts, is a postless deck as far as building goes, but it’s much more than that. The “W” design of the deck channels the air from the side on the outside to be under the coils and also acts as a guide on where to put the coils. I know stock photos show coils high-up, don’t do that, install them right in the middle over the air like my build picks above.
I used 6mm leads to get that placement. Each coil can be installed separately and each gets their own hole so it’s not hard to build on, but since it is like a postless deck, you do need to precut the leads. I prefer 6mm as the lead length. The post screws are good quality flat head grub screws and I would have preferred hex personally but flat head is ok as well. The spares are also flat head. Since the screws do come in on the side, they will twist flat wire leads so you may want to pre-twist them like I do but it’s not necessary.
Wicking is pretty easy as well. Just drop it down the sides into the juice well which is nice and deep. It’s an RDA so no tips or tricks needed.
Geekvape Loop V1.5 RDA Performance
Performance wise. I used it as a Dual Coil RDA only as intended no way to really run a single coil effectively anyway. I ran 4 builds in this a fancy 3mm ID build, a fancy 3.5 mm ID build, a fancy 4mm ID build and 1 simple round 4mm ID build.
For size I found it worked best with the 4mm ID. That is where it differs a lot from the original. Since the air is more spaced out, anything smaller than a 4mm ID will have a lot of air missing the coil. The original worked great with 3mm ID but also any size I tried, this one really suffers if you go smaller than a 4mm ID. The flavor isn’t much with a simple round build but really good with a fancy 4mm ID build.
Overall, it can give really good flavor but only with the right build, where the original was much more universal.
Overall Impressions, Details, and Extras
Let’s talk about the airflow now. It’s a side airflow RDA from the outside, but channeled on the bottom on the inside. The AFC is smooth and it’s adjustable easily on the mod as well as off because it’s in the middle of the RDA. It’s free spin and not on a stopper.
It comes with a standard ultem 810 tip and a delrin 510 tip adapter. No 510 drip tip however which would have been nice but not a big deal. It also worked well with other 810 tips I’ve tried including friction fit ones and o-ring ones as well so you should be able to use others you have with no issues.
The drip tip fits very well in the RDA, snug, not loose, not tight. The RDA never gets hot but can get a little warm chain vaping at high watts. The juice well is really deep and thanks to the “W” design, you can drip right down the middle from the drip tip without popping the cap and it’ll channel the juice right into the well. It’s really deep listed at 5mm and you can easily just squeeze juice into it. No need to count drops or anything. It has great over drip / over squonk protection. The Geekvape Loop V1.5 RDA comes with a squonk pin as well to use as a squonker. There are notches in the RDA to line up the top cap air and keep it in place.
As I’ve come to expect from Geekvape, the quality of Geekvape Loop V1.5 RDA is good and the o-ring feels like the right size. Easy to get the top on or off and to adjust air, but not loose at all. It’s a 24mm diameter so should not overhang on most mods.
I also experienced no issue with whistling or loud airflow either. It’s a pretty quiet RDA. The top cap o-rings are good and it’s easy to pop off and on both parts of it. There is also a stopper so it lines up the air and locks the bottom part into place and it’s easy to screw on and off your mod as well.
The quality on the Geekvape Loop V1.5 RDA is quite nice as well. The o-rings for the top cap onto the base feel right and the top cap is snug but not tight. Very easy to take apart with no issues.
The AFC is easy to adjust on or off a mod even with nothing for grip and the o-rings fit just right and everything is nicely done. The top cap does lock into place so also easy to get on and off mods. The post screws are good quality as well and 4 spare screws are included all are flathead/phillips combo screws. It comes with a standard 510 pin and a BF 510 pin like most RDAs these days as well.
There is plenty of spare o-rings and 7 spare post screws for it (4 hex and 3 flathead), 1 tri tool, 1 allen wrench, 1 510 tip adapter, no coils, and no cotton however. Great amount of accessories as usual from Geekvape although some coils and cotton would have been nice but not a big deal.
Pros and cons
- Great build quality
- two 810 drip tips and 510 tip adapter
- Good quality grub screws (flat head and hex)
- Price point (under 30 bucks)
- Color options (6 total)
- Massive juice well
- Standard 510 pin and squonk pin included
- Easy to adjust airflow
- Good over-drip and over-squonk protection
- Easy to drip down the middle to refill
- Good flavor with the right build
- Postless deck
- Plenty of spare o-rings
- Simple looks and branding mostly
- Top cap locks into place
- AFC easy to adjust
- Not as good as the original loop
- Postless decks aren’t beginner friendly due to pre cutting leads
- No included coils or cotton
- Not as universal as the original loop
#3 Drop RDA by DigiFlavor & The Vapor Chronicles
For this review, we got ourselves a black Drop with silver accents. The word Drop is featured on both sides of the RDA in silver paint, and the finish that we got is a glossy type. The paint on the logo and body have held up well after a few weeks of use, however the finish that we got tends to attract smudges and fingerprints. The Drop is also available in stainless steel, gold, blue, gunmetal, and matte black colors.
The top cap of the Drop has six pairs of notched cutouts for grip. This is to make it easier to twist and adjust the airflow. However, even with the notched cutouts, we found it pretty difficult to twist and had to give it some force to get it turning. Unfortunately, this didn’t get much easier with time. So when you get the Drop, just be careful not to over-tighten it on your mod when adjusting the airflow.
Now, one of the most unique and interesting design features of the Drop RDA is it’s airflow control. While most other RDAs have two or three wide slots for their airflow intake, the Drop goes against the norm. Instead, you’ll find ten small airflow holes on both sides of the Drop that can be adjusted by twisting the top cap.
The top cap is made with a “stepped” cutout design that goes deep into the body of the drop. This makes the airflow on the Drop fully adjustable. You can go from one hole open to all ten open, or anything in between. This is awesome and makes it possible to find an airflow setting that is just right for the way that you like to vape. Whether you like your draws very airy or really restricted, the airflow on the Drop has you covered.
On to the hallmark feature of the Drop RDA: the deck design. As mentioned earlier, the deck on the Drop is a postless-style design that affords plenty of building space. However, unlike traditional postless decks, you don’t have to precisely measure your leads before inserting. Instead, with the Drop you simply insert your leads from the top. Then, trim the excess off from the bottom. The way that the deck is designed allows your leads to come straight out from the bottom of the posts, and there’s plenty of room to allow you to get your wire cutters in to trim them.
The deck on the Drop is reasonably deep at 5mm, and will allow you plenty of room to squonk or drip without leaking. The way that the deck is designed allows for extremely efficient wicking, as your cotton has plenty of room to fluff out in the middle. If you use the including squonk pin, the juice is dispersed straight out from the center of the Drop.
Pros and cons
- Great Adjustable “T” Airflow
- Postless-Style Build Deck is Extremely User Friendly
- Great Flavor
- Squonk Ready
- Superb with either Single or Dual Coil Setups
- Airflow Top Cap is a Little Snug
#2 Passage 24MM RDA review
The Hellvape x SMM Passage RDA is an intricately built 24mm rebuildable device that can produce fantastic flavor and super smooth airflow. This is Hellvape’s latest vaping product released in collaboration with well known YouTube vape reviewer Matt from Suck My Mod. As a result, the Passage RDA should impress most seasoned builders and is guaranteed to be a big hit in 2019.
I’m a personal fan of both Hellvape and SMM, so when I heard that they were teaming up for the Passage RDA, I was super excited! Hellvape is responsible for some great devices like the Drop Dead RDA, Dead Rabbit RTA and also the Hellbeast Sub-Ohm Tank. These products are popular because they are well made, unique and deliver on their promises. Keep reading for a full breakdown on the Passage RDA.
The Hellvape x SMM Passage RDA is not your standard rebuildable device. The two post, guillotine-style deck has been designed with foresight. Beveled edges on the clamps make it super easy to install your coils legs. The clamps are also not spring loaded which allows independent movement and less distortion. They are secured by two flat head screws that can accommodate large exotic builds.
The airflow on the Passage RDA is buttery smooth. The two airflow slots are situated pretty high on the top cap, but there is a reason for this. As airflow enters, it takes a 90-degree turn and runs down the inside of your split top cap, which is roughly 2mm’s wide. It then disperses evenly onto your coils via the internal honeycomb airflow holes.
The flavor that the Hellvape x SMM Passage RDA can produce is phenomenal. I think this is aided greatly but the innovative airflow design and slight overall restrictiveness. The juice well is relatively deep and the kit comes with a peek insulated 510 BF squonk pin. It even boasts a brand new stylish 810 anti-bacterial drip tip, which is a first for Hellvape. Overall I’ve loved every puff and can highly recommend the Passage RDA for purchase.
Pros and cons
- Quality manufacturing and good looks
- Knurled top cap
- Easy removal from mod
- Leak resistant
- Traps two isolated leads with one screw
- Deep juice well
- Works great in drip or squonk mode
- Inventive and effective airflow
- Dense vapor
- Bright and lively flavor
- Airflow adjustment can be tricky
- Doesn’t come with coils
#1 Wotofo Recurve Dual Coil RDA review
Wotofo, with its collaborators, really knows how to put together great RDA tanks. I didn’t love the companies last batch of RTAs, but I’ve always had a soft spot for its RDAs – the Lush Plus, The Eldar Dragon, the Nudge, and now the Wotofo Recurve DUAL.
The design is straight-forward enough. Oddly, there is no curve to the tank’s chassis as there was on the Recurve RDA, save for a slight taper at the very top of the tank’s main section just below the drip tip.
The finish and aesthetics, however, are very sharp and very much on point.
The Deck is a Dream To Build On. It’s Postless, The Kit Includes a Coil Lead Clipper, So Getting It Just Right For Optimal Airflow and Flavor is Super-Simple. Even If You’re A Beginner.
It’s a 24mm by 34mm tank, so it’s fairly squat – this is good. I prefer low-profile RDAs, as they look better on mechs and vape mods. My test unit was the rainbow one, but Wotofo retails a bunch of other options. I think I like black the best.
On the sides of the tank, you have the AFC, which is composed of six air holes. To adjust it, simply turn the tank left or right. It works smoothly enough and it is easier to adjust than the Recurve RDA’s AFC. However, unlike the Recurve RDA, the Recurve DUAL works best wide open. If you close it down too much, the flavor falls over and things get too hot.
From a design perspective, the Wotofo Recurve DUAL RDA is a stellar rebuildable atomizer. The postless deck is badass to work with, the AFC is easy to use and well implemented, and the outside look and feel of the tank are superb and premium looking. Basically, it has everything you could want from a mid-range dual coil RDA.
The Wotofo Recurve DUAL RDA uses a postless deck design, similar to the original Recurve’s – only here, there’s room for two coils. Once you’ve clipped your leads using the included lead-measuring tool, you simply slot them in place and tighten them down. It’s simple and takes no more than five minutes, including adjustment and wicking.
The airflow, when you take a hit on the RDA, is directed inwards and then down onto the coils. The placement of the coils, therefore, has to be fairly precise in order to get the most flavor from the tank. Thankfully, using the coil tool makes this super easy – just measure, clip, install, tighten down, and they’ll be where they need to be.
Conceptually, the deck inside the Wotofo Recurve DUAL RDA is exactly the same as the Recurve’s. It’s just bigger and can accommodate two coils. Other than that, it is more or less identical, so fans of the Recurve RDA will feel right at home.
On a personal note, I really do love how easy this deck is to work with – postless is definitely my preferred deck design these days.
The deck is great, and this leads to some really good flavor which is exactly what you want from a dual-coil RDA. The juice wells are deep enough for dripping and the squonk function is superb too, so whatever mode you run the Wotofo Recurve DUAL in you’re going to be having a good time.
The flavor is precise and intense, as it should be. As noted earlier, I came from the Occula RDA to this RDA, and the difference with flavor is night and day – the Wotofo Recurve DUAL RDA is vastly superior, delivering spades of flavor and plenty of clouds too. Wotofo’s included coils and wick are also brilliant as well, adding to the overall prowess of this tank.
I’ve been using this RDA solidly for a couple of weeks now. It hasn’t leaked, missed a beat, or let me down in any way.
Pros and cons
- Spacious Build Deck
- Great Squonk RDA
- Good Flavor
- Leak Free
- Excellent Drip TIp
- Limited Airflow Adjustment
