Product intro and specs
Aegis Boost is Geekvape’s latest pod-type AIO and the first of its kind in the Aegis family. Thanks to its powerful ability, tactical style and outstanding performance, Aegis mods are the most popular in vaping. The line began with the original Aegis, a single 26650 battery module and one of the first solid and waterproof mods on the market, a trend that was quickly adopted by many other companies. Since then, we’ve seen the dual 18650 battery Aegis Legend, the internal battery Aegis Mini, the single 18650 Aegis Solo, the dual 18650 Aegis X, and its impressive screen as well as the Aegis Squonk mod.
Boost is an AIO with wattage and airflow adjustability, and the seventh in a range of high-performance products.

Geekvape Aegis Boost features
The Aegis Boost has a similar form factor to the Aegis Mini mod, but because it is essentially a Pod vape, it is smaller and lighter. It’s obviously much bigger than most pods there, but it also has more adjustability. Like other products in the range, the Aegis Boost is mostly black and coated with rubber around the mod. This not only increases durability but also provides a good soft feel. I have a bronze color and the leather on it is black. When you look at photos online, it seems that all color choices come in black leather. The copper color does add some nice color contrast, but I prefer the brighter one compared to the two dark colors.
In addition to being compatible with the RBA head, the biggest difference between it and the standard pod system is that it has screen and adjustment functions. Recently, the company has been stepping up its efforts to provide more pod-type AIO devices with higher power and more functionality than ever before. Boost has a small, bright black-and-white screen that displays resistance, power output, blow counters, and battery power. You have up and down buttons that adjust power between 5 and 40 watts in 0.5 watts increments.
They list the battery at 1500 mAh and a charging rate of 1.5 amperes. Both are the correct specifications. Another cool feature is the adjustable airflow and a separate drip head. Airflow can be easily adjusted through the front wheels, just like the Aspire Breeze NXT. They include two drip tips for the direct lungs and one for the mouth to the lungs, so you can make some draw adjustments to your liking.
The construction of Aegis boost was very much in line with expectations. It’s sturdy, sturdy and no buttons to rattle. It has the same tactical style as other “Aegis” series and has the same high-quality feel. It’s too early to judge performance, but I’ve been using a 25-watt, 70/30 3mg e-juice 0.4 ohm coil, which performs well in the watt range. Boost is only button-activated and works like most mods – just five fire buttons to turn it on and off, and to adjust the power with a click up and down. As long as the coil has a good coil life and the performance of the other coil and RBA head is high, Geekvape will win here.
I do have some minor ills, but nothing big deal. First of all, as I often point out, I hate dark pods. The company needs to stop making dark pods to maintain its appearance and remove them for convenience – it’s easy to see your juice level. In a sense, they provide drip tips that are very easy to rotate and therefore very loose. It’s a bit annoying and the AFC round is a bit on the loose side. Finally, the valve flap of the refueling plug is too small. I’ve been using a tweezer or flat-head screwdriver to eject it. It might be easier if I had nails, but I’ve never had this problem in any other pod system, so it’s stand out. In any case, some minor weaknesses don’t matter, this is an early pre-release example, so hopefully they can address some of these small issues before production.
I’ve already started testing the product and a full review will be available here soon. Let me know what’s your thought about Aegis Boost.
