First Impression

K-PIN series offer a very best experience that user never had before. The product has a very good quality and can be used for a long term. It isworthy to own it because of its unique and telescopic nozzle design with a thin body and 2000 mAh integrated batteries. The output watt is ranged from 3.2V to 4.2V (25-60W) which gives the best Vaping performance. The device can be easily charged by its Micro USB, DC 5V/1000mAh cable. The top filling access makes easy to refill it. It’s easy to put it into your pocket, as it’s in the same length as iPhone 7.

  • Compatible with SSOCC heads
  • Unique design with telescopic nozzle
  • Integrated thin body with 2000 mAh

Power/Performance

Kanger K-PIN has an excellent quality and it can be easily used for a long-term. The output watt range is from 3.2V to 4.2V (25-60W) and this can be good enough to give the best Vaping performance to any user. The charge problem is solved because of the Micro USB cable of DC 5V/1000 mAh. The refilling process is very easy because of the top filling access.

Airflow

K PIN tank is unique and I will shortly explain why. In total it has 6 airflow slots: 3 bigger ones and 3 smaller ones. Unfortunately, they are not adjustable. Some vapers might consider as a con, but some as a plus.

Tank capacity

Tank is available in 2 sizes: 4 or 2 ml. 2ml stand for EU market and 4ml most probably for USA market. I got an sample with 4ml capacity and it’s enough for whole day vaping. No need to handle e-juice in the pocket outside the home – great!

First vape

I filled the tank with 6mg e-juice and fired up the K PIN with 0.2ohm (25-60W) coil. And I have to admit – in the latest time it is the best vape what I have got. Flavor is so much intense, no dry hits and vapor production is really amazing. Recently I tried a starter kit from Rocvape and it is not even close to K PIN.

Pros & Cons

Pros Cons
Capacity: 4 ml / 2 ml (EU) Leak sometimes
Material: stainless steel and brass ECO
Colors: Black / Red / Yellow / Green / Blue
Coil: SSOCC
Battery: Built-in 2000mAh Li
Output voltage: 3.2V – 4.2V
Output: Maximum power
Suitable coil resistance :> = 0.15ohm
Load: Micro-USB, DC 5V / 1000mA

Long story short – Summary

This new stylish device is the best choice for beginners and intermediate vapors. It is a part of a sub-ohm unit which means that less nicotine e-liquid can be used to maintain an upper vaping experience. I would not be surprised if this small device on the market the initial/intermediate level takes place.

Kanger UBOAT Review – You Sank My Battleship

It’ been a long time coming and it looks like that time has finally come, Kanger has finally released its own version of a portable pod-style device that does mouth-to-lung. Shaped into the form of a stealthy submarine, the Kanger UBOAT is here to make waves with its 550mAh battery, a pod tank that can hold up to 2ml of e-liquid, and a ceramic coil system that’s rated for 1.5-ohms. It’s an extremely portable little kit, but one that doesn’t come with its own set of drawbacks.

Review: Kanger UBOAT

Kanger UBOAT Review

Manufacturing Quality

Just like it’s namesake, the Kanger UBOAT exemplifies stealth with its matte black finish and smoothly contoured form factor. The mod does make use of a slightly textured surface giving you a potentially better grip which is appreciated.

The entire kit is comprised of 2 main parts; the body of the mod which holds the 550mAh battery, and the detachable refillable pod system that holds up to 2ml of e-liquid. The pod uses a rubber stopper to keep e-liquid in.

While the stopper isn’t affixed to the mod and therefore can be easily lost or misplaced, the kit does come with quite a few of these stoppers just in case you do end up losing the first one so kudos to Kanger for properly giving thought in that regard.

There aren’t any buttons to be found on the Kanger UBOAT which is due to its air-activated design, making swift and convenient operation a reality for beginners especially. The mouthpiece feels quite comfortable to use, especially when paired with the exceptional hand feel of the device.

Kanger UBOAT partsThe bottom of the mod is where you’ll find the proprietary charging port of the Kanger UBOAT so just keep in mind that you won’t be able to use standard micro USB cables to charge up this kit. Also, it’s important to not lose the proprietary charger as the kit only comes with one.

Focus On www.ave40.com For More Vape Kits.

Flavor Quality

Thanks to the ceramic coils that the Kanger UBOAT uses, flavor on this little pod-style device is quite exceptional, especially when compared to its direct competitors such as the Pax Juul. Flavors don’t feel as muted in comparison.

The Kanger UBOAT also uses refillable pods, meaning that you have more freedom when it comes to vaping your preferred e-liquids, which is something that you can’t do when vaping on the Juul. Just keep in mind that the pods don’t come pre-filled so you’re going to need some e-liquid on hand before purchasing the Kanger UBOAT.

The Kanger UBOAT has a very small output so it works best when vaped with e-liquids that have a higher nicotine content. I’ve found that the mod performs well using a 20mg/ml strength e-liquid but of course, this is mostly left up to preference so it’s best to test out a few choice e-liquids of varying strengths before committing to an entire bottle.

Power Flexibility

The Kanger UBOAT works directly off a direct voltage supplied by the internal battery meaning that it works best on a full charge. As battery levels dwindle, expect vaping output to taper off as well. Naturally, the Kanger UBOAT doesn’t support variable wattage or temperature control.

Depending on how you intense you like your vape to be, various levels of nicotine strength can be used with the pod if you’re looking to change things up every now and then.

Like most regulated devices, the Kanger UBOAT also comes with the safe electrical fail-safes that prevent the internal battery from experiencing excessive charging or discharging. A safety feature that shuts the mod off when internal temperatures get too hot and overall makes the entire kit very safe to use and beginner friendly.

Kanger UBOAT flat display

Ease of Use

Thanks to the air-activated design, operating the Kanger UBOAT feels like second nature. The mod automatically fires when taking a puff from the ergonomic mouthpiece making every vaping session hassle-free. What isn’t as convenient though, are certain design decisions which get in the way of making this device a top-notch kit.

For starters, the material used to cover the pods could stand to be a bit more see-through because as they currently are, it can be a bit difficult to see inside the pod and get a proper gauge on how much e-liquid is actually left. Another annoying quirk is that the fill hole where e-liquid goes is too small.

If your e-liquid uses the typical glass or plastic dropper, you’re going to have problems dripping that e-liquid into the pod. Needle nose drippers or bottles are what work best with this kit, but unfortunately, Kanger doesn’t provide one. Lastly, it would’ve been preferable for Kanger to drop the proprietary charger altogether and opt for micro USB.

Portability

While the Kanger UBOAT isn’t as tiny as the Pax Juul, it’s still plenty portable. The smooth curves on the mod allow it to slip into any pocket or bag with ease. Another advantage that the Kanger UBOAT holds over its competitor is the significantly larger internal battery it holds. Rated at 550mAh, it has more than twice the battery life of the Juul, allowing it to easily provide an entire days worth of vaping and then some.

While the proprietary charger might be a negative for many vapers, it doesn’t come without its advantages. It’s a lot more durable than the generic micro USB ports that many portable kits use, meaning that unlike other mods, the charging port won’t loosen over time and you’ll always be guaranteed a firm and secure connection.

Kanger UBOAT mouth piece detached

Overall Experience

The Kanger UBOAT has lots of good things going its way. The smooth streamlined shape paired with the matte black finish make it a perfect stealth vape for the more discreet vapers out there. It’s easy to use thanks to the fact that its air activated just like the Juul.

If you’re willing to overlook some niggling flaws such as the tiny fill port and hard to see through pod, the Kanger UBOAT should easily satisfy your vape cravings with its excellent and consistent vaping performance.

Review:Joyetech Batpack / Joye ECO D16 Kit

The output of Batpack kit of Joyetech could mark a major step in the evolution of vape supplies, with power by two standard AA batteries. No luck, this kit is a disappointment.

The kit is compact and well done

As soon as the box is open, it is the compactness of the Batpack kit that stands out first. The clearomizer is very small and the box barely larger than the two AA batteries that make it work, we will talk about it later.

The ergonomics are excellent and the grip very pleasant. The set is fine, which allows to slip comfortably into jeans without being embarrassed, even Travolta could turn Grease with in his pocket.

Another advantage of this kit, the realization is excellent. The box in particular is really qualitative. Made of metal, the adjustments are irreproachable, the trigger button has no play in its housing, the door of the battery compartment either. The clearomizer is in tune, making it a truly qualitative set.

A good point too, the box and the clearomizer have a connection 510 to connect them, which allows to replace either by any model of the market, provided that the diameter does not change too much. An atomizer 24 mm in diameter is obviously ridiculous on the box …

The box includes

Batpack / Joye ECO D16 Kit (x1), clearomizer (x1), battery (x2), resistors (x2), operating instructions (x1)

The Batpack is easy

The use of the box is as simple as you can do. 5 quick clicks on the trigger button to turn it on or off, and press to vaper. At least you do not risk a cramp neurons to use this kit and it is an excellent point for the public that this kit is intended: the new vapers.

An LED next to the clearomizer indicates the operation of the box, as well as the battery level by its blinking more or less fast. And it’s actually weird to talk about “batteries” rather than batteries!

Focus On www.ave40.com For More Vape Kits.

Two AA batteries

The great feature of this kit is of course to work with two AA batteries, conventional batteries that can be found easily even in the smallest grocery store deep in the world.

At least, the kit can work with conventional alkaline batteries, because it still has a much better autonomy with AA rechargeable batteries. The classic batteries option is to be kept in trouble, which is no less a valuable asset.

The kit comes with two AA batteries of 2100 mAh, which can hold the day without problems. It must instead have an external charger, the box does not but we find everywhere for a few euros.

To get the resistance to work with such a low energy source, the box regulates the average voltage at 2 V, which combined with a resistance of 0.5 ohm can deliver about 8 W sufficient for an indirect inhalation vape .

The clearomizer is impractical

The ECO D16 clearomiser in the Batpack kit is relatively standard in its overall design. The installation of the resistors is easy, just screw them on the base. It must also remove the Pyrex tank to do so, which requires that it is empty. The functional aspect loses a point.

The air supply is from the top, by two small openings just at the base of the drip tip. This one being quite short, one quickly made the lips on the arrivals of air, which mouths of course. It is therefore necessary to vap either by putting just the tip of the drip tip on the lips, or by turning the kit so that the air inlets are parallel to the lips so that the openings remain free. And another point of lost for the functional.

Finally, the airflow is a little too aerial for a pleasant indirect inhalation, and is not adjustable. A more restrictive flow of air would also perhaps have made it possible to compensate for certain shortcomings of the resistances.

Resistances are … null

The big, weak point of this kit is the resistors. And it’s annoying, considering that it is they who produce the steam, and the steam is a little what we seek when we vape.

Their first fault is to miss a hit . The production of steam is correct, the rendering of the flavors also, but the feeling in the throat is weak. Joyetech actually specifies that it is necessary to use this kit preferably with high nicotine levels or nicotine salts, which I confirm. I usually vape in 2 mg / ml of nicotine, and with this kit the 6 mg / ml gives me a feeling equivalent to my habit.

So, for those who need the feeling of a 18 mg / ml … it is impossible to have it. And here is a nerd for a kit that is intended for new vapers.

These resistances are ultimately catastrophic with liquids too low in vegetable glycerin . With 75% PG / 25% VG, it’s just ridiculous. The resistance barely drowns the filled tank. This does not leak, since the air supply is from the top, but it’s a pool inside. The resistance can no longer evaporate anything, and we get nothing more than glouglous suction. Grotesque.

It’s better with liquids in … 20% PG / 80% VG. This generally corresponds to liquids provided for advanced kits, with direct inhalation and consequent potency. So liquids are most often unavailable beyond 6 mg / ml of nicotine, which give with these resistances the impression of vapping in 2 mg / ml.

In short, for a beginner’s kit, we are completely next to the plate. We can certainly replace the clearomizer with another model, such as a GS basal for example. Except that the resistors of all other models are provided for a voltage of 3.7 V, and will come out almost nothing on the Batpack box.

In summary

 WE love

  • The quality of realization
  • ergonomics
  • The AA accus!

 We do not like

  • The air supply of the clearomizer
  • The resistances!
  • The lack of hit

Conclusion

The Batpack / ECO D16 kit is remarkably well made, very compact and easy to use. Its power supply by two AA batteries or batteries is a real asset, even if it requires recharging the batteries separately. By cons, the vape with this kit lacks really feeling in the throat, and can not satisfy those who need the hit of a 18 mg / ml of nicotine. The ridiculous trend of resistance to fleeing with all liquids less than 80% of VG completes the picture, and I do not really see who to recommend the Batpack.

Eleaf Lexicon Kit Review – Vaping Vocabulary

It looks like Eleaf is finally taking the next step into the future with their release of the Eleaf Lexicon. Cashing in on the RGB LED trend, the Eleaf Lexicon features a highly customisable and stylized design, accented by an array of flashy LED strips that help give it that extra bit of flair. It’s not just all about looks either as the Eleaf Lexicon fires up to a massive 235 watts with the help of 2 18650 batteries (sold separately).

Review: Eleaf Lexicon kit

Eleaf Lexicon Review

Manufacturing Quality

When it comes to looks, the  Eleaf Lexicon is a definite winner. Sporting an exterior body fashioned out of a high-grade aluminum alloy, the mod has that sparkle that lets it stand out amongst its peers, regardless of what colorway you decide on getting. The kit is available in red, black, silver, dazzling blue, and purple.

Eleaf has also taken some hints from how Smok does things as the included ELLO Duro tank comes in a matching color that perfectly complements the mod for the ideal uniform look.

Aside from a matching tank, the kit also includes tinted pyrex glass chambers that perfectly go with the color scheme of your chosen colorway.

Instead of straight cut edges or the typical rounded edge seen in mods centered around ergonomics, the  Eleaf Lexicon features diagonal cuts on the top and bottom edges making for an ergonomic yet highly stylized look and feel. As for the RGB light show that the mod boasts of, the  Eleaf Lexicon thankfully manages to do it right.

The front and top edges of the device are tastefully accented with a high quality LED strip, with the front panel divvied up into three “sections” by the forked LED strip layout.

While the  Eleaf Lexicon uses a basic LED display that might be considered outdated by today’s standards, the display still manages to relay all important information without much compromise. The subdued screen also means that there’s a bigger emphasis on the aesthetic of the device which might appeal to vapers who aren’t a fan of giant obtrusive displays on their electronic cigarettes.
Eleaf Lexicon available colors

The top of the mod features a centered 510 connection that can easily accommodate atomizers up to 26mm in diameter without any overhang. The spring loaded design facilitates a seamless connection between the mod and tank guaranteeing no annoying issues with connectivity between the two.

The side of the mod is where the hexagonal firing button can be found. Tactility and clickiness are two of its strong points and it offers a lot of it, displaying a clear and well-defined actuation with every press.

Focus On www.ave40.com For More Vape Kits.

Flavor Quality

Each kit comes packaged with an HW-N and HW-M coil head, rated at 0.2 and 0.15 ohms respectively. Despite being different models, both coils perform similarly in the aspect that they offer lots of flavor and vapor.

Instead of the typical round wire setup, the HW series uses a mesh-like coil for relatively more even distribution of heat and vaporization of e-liquid.

Another factor that sets the ELLO Duro tank apart from the rest of the pack is its use of an acrylic drip tip instead of the standard Delrin or Ultem tips commonly seen on many tanks.

While the feel is more or less the same, it does offer a bit more freedom when it comes to possible designs available. Like most tanks, the ELLO Duro also features dual adjustable airflow slots that allow fine-tuning of your vaping experience to exactly how you want it.

Power Flexibility

The sky is the limit when it comes to the  Eleaf Lexicon. With its awesome 235 maximum wattage output, there’s hardly a build out there that this mod cant fire. Ramp up on the standard variable wattage mode is quick and virtually non-existent while misfires are a thing of the past.

The chip used by the  Eleaf Lexicon can handle resistances as low as 0.05 ohms which is as low as you can get within the realm of safety and practicality. This means you shouldn’t have any trouble firing up even the hottest coil builds on this mod.

Aside from variable wattage, the Eleaf Lexicon is capable of firing up stainless steel, nickel, and titanium coils in temperature control without a hitch. Customisable TCR is also an option for the truly detail-oriented vaper that isn’t afraid of getting know the most intimate capabilities of their device.Eleaf Lexicon tank

Ease of Use

While the slightly smaller screen of the  Eleaf Lexicon can sometimes get in the way of menu navigation, it’s not much of a problem in day to day use which is exceedingly straightforward. Five clicks on the fire button turns the device on and off for quick activation and storing of the mod. Swapping the batteries out for a fresh pair is hassle-free as well.

The trapdoor battery compartment at the bottom of the mod easily opens up when you want it to and stays firmly shut when needed. Clearly indicated polarity markers are a big plus in ensuring that your two 18650 batteries are always properly inserted in the correct orientation.

 Portability

Standing at 45mm*31mm*132.5mm the Eleaf Lexicon fits into the average size category of dual 18650 devices. It’s definitely got some heft to it weighing in at 228 grams, so while it may easily slip into your pocket, having a heavy mod in there jostling around while you walk might not be the most ideal situation.

Battery life is a no-brainer on the Eleaf Lexicon thanks to the dual battery setup. Expect a full day’s worth of high powered vaping at the minimum, even if you’re a heavy vaper. While the mod does support 2 amp charging via the micro USB port. Its always recommended using a dedicated external charger to guarantee your batteries are properly balanced when charging.Eleaf Lexicon flat display

Overall Experience

If you’re looking for a device that pretty much pulls everything off performance wise and doesn’t skimp on the bling factor while doing so, the Eleaf Lexicon is an excellent choice for those into the futuristic look.

The mods strong vaping performance coupled with the excellent coil design make for a strong pairing that most kits strive for. Add the stellar battery life on top of all that and you’ve got an almost instant buy granted you’re a fan of the kit’s aesthetics.

Eleaf iStick Amnis Review: An Epic fail For Me!

eleaf istick amnis main

Introduction – The iStick Amnis By Eleaf

Eleaf has been a household name in vaping ever since the industry took flight, particularly as a popular choice for new vapers and working people who were looking for sleek affordable options that do the job without making too much of a statement.

Devices such as the Pico Squeeze II and IJust 3 have carried the brand’s past successes into 2018 with updates that are relevant and on trend.

With the Iwu pod mod, which I recently reviewed, the brand was answering to a trend that’s really huge at the moment, that of low powered, compact devices with mouth to lung (MTL) capabilities, to cater to the huge nic salt craze that’s going on at the moment.

Today’s subject of review is no different, only it goes a step further to achieve truly ‘on trend’ status. This device combines the MTL, salt nic class with the flavoursome mesh coil type that’s so much the rage right now. The result being something that would have been truly satisfying, had it not fallen apart while I was writing this.

Build Quality & Design

Amnis Mod

Opening up the neat, white, eLeaf Box packaging, I find the mod and tank, separately tucked into their snug foam seatings.Eleaf iStick Amnis mod

The mod itself is just under 7cm long, with the tank just under five…when combined, they are roughly the same length as your average ballpoint pen, and twice the thickness.

The mod has a micro USB port under it for charging on its side, The panel which is home to the small, clicky, almost rectangular fire button is textured with long grooves for grip and this panel, along with the base and a narrow band around the 510 connection are plastic.

The rest of the mod, save the SS 510 connection, is coated in a highly rubberised paint.

The shape is basically like a narrow rectangle that’s been rounded and indented at one side, making it highly ergonomic is you place your little finger at the base, middle and ring finger at the indentation and your forefinger on the button, with your thumb on the straight side of the ‘rectangle.’eleaf istick amnis hand

On one side of rubber finished section, there is Eleaf and iStick Amnis branding in small white lettering. I received the blue version for review, it’s a very dull navy blue but the finish is good and seems relatively scratch resistant.

The 510 connection is deep and has a tight spring to it with heavy threading around the connection.

2 Small screw are visible at the base and top of the mod for those of us who’re keen to take this baby apart.

GS Drive Tank

The drive is a tall, narrow tank, made much taller by the extremely long, 15mm MTL drip tip.Eleaf GS drive tank

I’d been using the sliding top cap for almost two weeks, to fill the drive but as I was writing the previous sentence, I decided to try and remove the drip tip, which is…usually, removable.

The top cap came shooting off, with the top lock mechanism and its two tiny springs shooting out. I managed to retrieve the microscopic springs but after about 6 failed attempts to put all the tiny pieces back together again, 1 of the springs shot off and is now officially missing…my tank rendered broken and basically unusable, since the top cap refuses to replace without the lock mechanism in place.

I’m now pissed off. So much for my good review, I wonder if it had something to do with that crack about taking this baby apart..?eleaf istick amnis gs drive broke

Okay so below the drip tip, which is clearly stuck on far too tight, thanks to too large o-rings, is the top lock which, when pressed, allows you to slide open the cap at a right angle to the lock, to fill through the port.

We all know the quality of the top lock system, by now, feeling the bits and bombs, they feel more like plastic than SS, quality of materials seems below par.

Now that my top cap is removed, I can see the central shaft, narrow and perfect for MTL airflow, not that it will be doing me any good now.

The base of the tank has a narrow airflow ring that turns easily to adjust airflow through two 12mm long cyclops slots which. A small raised ‘lock’ on one side of each slot prevents the airflow ring from twisting all the way round.

Accessories

A 0.75 Ohm coil head is also included, as are all the spares you could hope for…except, of course, for spare glass, as the glass is not, in any case, user replaceable. Not sure how I feel about this. A couple of vape bands should have been included if breaking your glass means losing your tank, in my opinion.

How Does The Eleaf Amnis Perform?

It’s such a pity that not all the GS Drive’s bits were properly put together, low quality, brittle materials have now ruined my tank. It’s a pity because up until now, I was very pleased with the performance.

While MTL vaping necessary high resistance and low wattage can make it a bit of a flavour downer, the Air mesh coil that’s pre-installed, combined with the narrow shaft and perfect MTL drip tip and airflow on the GS Drive make it an killer at the 30W output from this teeny little device.eleaf istick amnis base

Vapour that you wouldn’t expect to see below 50W and flavour that’s so full and tasty that it’ll basically blow your socks off. Damn, such a downer that my tank just exploded into a gazillion pieces.

Before the ‘incident’ this was basically the nic salt device of my dreams, all the flavour punch of a sub-ohm device in a perfect MTL package, a real breakthrough using mesh coils for MTL.

Okay, I’m gonna stop sulking about this and just get on with the show.

First up, on filling the tank I felt that the device was extremely top heavy. With the battery weighing a mere 35g, once the tank is filled it actually outweighs the base…which is a big no no if you like a device to stand upright.

Now since I did experience a little bit of through-airflow leaking when the airflow was left open, I felt that it was best to keep the thing upright…which, due to the weight issues is easier said than done.eleaf istick amnis 510

Beyond that, it was smooth operating, the top fill worked alright, although you have to be careful to allow air out on one side of the tiny juice fill opening, to prevent a vacuum and mess.

I found the device ergonomic, effective and really, were it not for the tragic falling apart of my GS Drive, a highly recommendable cessation aid and Nic-salt friendly vape.

How To Fill

  • Press in the tiny lock button on the side of the top cap
  • Slide the top cap away from the small pointer on the side of the top cap
  • Fill through the hole
  • Closeeleaf istick amnis fill

How To Change the Coil

  • Unscrew the tank from the base
  • Unscrew the coil head from its seating
  • Replace
  • Reassemble

Stock Coil Performance

The GS Air M coils are MTL Heaven, outstanding vapour production and flavour on a coil head that works perfectly in unison with the Drive’s airflow to be absolutely perfect for a restricted but full hit.

The 0.75 ohm GS Air head feels ever so slightly more restricted vape without the killer flavour that you get off the mesh coil, so, for me, a bit of a let down and a crying shame that the included spare was not a mesh coil as well.

Battery Life

Battery life is great, with 900mAh lasting around 8 hours. The battery level indicators are a great help also, displaying as follows:

  • Green: 60-100%
  • Orange: 30-59%
  • Blue: 10-29%
  • Red: 0-9%

Given that this is a direct output device, wattage will decrease with battery life and, although both coils do still perform at the bottom of their wattage ranges (both have a 10-25W range), vaping with the device less than 60% charged is a bit of a drag for me. Charge takes approximately an hour.

Pros

  • Compact and ergonomic
  • Outstanding flavour and vapour from the mesh coil
  • Great battery life
  • Quick charge
  • Top fill design
  • Perfect MTL Airflow

Cons

  • Tank top cap breaks easily, revealing shabby manufacturing and cheap materials
  • Direct output so wattage diminishes with battery life

Final Review Verdict

I would have given the eLeaf iStick Amnis with GS Drive tank a dazzling review, on the back of outstanding flavour, vapour production and battery life in a tiny, MTL and nic salt friendly device.

Sadly, while writing this review, my top cap broke of, sending parts of the top lock mechanism flying everywhere!

I have since been unable to fix it and my inspection of the in workings of the top cap have reviewed cheap manufacturing and a standard of materials that leaves much to be desired. I can’t in good conscience recommend this.

And..

Would I buy this if I lost/broke the device? No.

Mage Colander: Mage RTA V2 by CoilArt

CoilArt has released the Mage RTA V2 tank. The device received a drainless base for one or two spirals, an adjustable bottom airflow and an increased flask of 5.5 milliliters.

On March 21, CoilArt presented the Mage RTA V2 device on instagram  . Tank made of stainless steel. Wide driptyp belted a metal ring at the base. Under the twisting lid hid two filling holes. The dome was decorated with branded engraving. Bottom positioned ring to adjust the blower. It, like topkep, received a narrow profile and a rough surface, for convenient interaction.

Bareless, gilded base is designed for one or two spirals. A semicircular “ramp” dotted with a multitude of holes will provide volume airflow – from the bottom and at an angle. On the sides are baths for laying cotton wool. The volume can be increased from 3.5 to 5.5 milliliters using an expanded flask.

The Mage RTA V2 package includes a spare glass, a screwdriver repair kit and instructions.

Main characteristics:

  • Height – 46 mm
  • Diameter – 24 mm
  • Volume – 3.5 / 5.5 ml
  • Decoupled base

Innokin EQ review

With this EQ, the brand explores a more vigorous vape, on the basis of an innovation: to use in a pod different coils, the plexus, constituted not by a wire, but by a grid. The result is interesting.

Is it really a pod?

Obviously yes: it has the format (8.8 cm) and the battery (800 mAh). Note aside that its finishes are good, and that its matt coating does not take fingerprints.

As on the other pods, the fillable tank contains the coilhead and slides on the battery.

To fill this tank, before inserting it, it is necessary to turn its lower part, to discover 2 holes. The tank is in two parts, to be filled separately. A USB plug recharges the battery in about an hour.

Before using it, you should remove the cap, pressing it on the side, to uncover a tip wide enough, but perfectly ergonomic for the lips. Vapor is inhaled indirectly, as on all pods.

Okay, so it’s a pod. How is it different?

While most pods do not have a button and only one operating mode, the EQ is not automatic, it has a firing button.

This button has 3 functions: firing to vape, switching on or off the pod in three clicks, and choosing between two powers: 13.5 and 15.5 W. To change the power, first switch off the pod, then press and hold the button until the LED changes colour : white = 13.5 W, red = 15.5 W. The difference seems small, but it is sensitive, we will come back to it.

But the main difference is not visible: it is the nature of the integrated coil in the tank. It uses a grid rather than a wire, promising more flavors and throat hit. And indeed, its hit is powerful, very powerful, while the defect of pods is often to offer a slightly weak hit.

Concerning flavours and vapor production, the grid does not seem to me to really change the deal compared to good classic pods: they are in the good average.
In the end, the difference is that the EQ is at the level of its best competitors, but more “fished”, much more fished.

Innokin also announces a longer coil life. I can’t confirm it yet, I don’t have enough vaper to rinse the resistance, but it seems right that in other systems, mesh or grid coils last much longer than their wire counterparts.

Technical review

The EQ is delivered in a white box, with a cable and instructions for use. There is no spare tank in the pack, they are sold separately, in individual boxes (in the foreground).

Essential features of the Innokin EQ Pod

  • Beginner kit type of equipment
  • Dimensions mod 88 mm x 35 mm x 15 mm
  • Battery 800 mAh
  • USB Charging
  • Tank capacity 2 ml
  • Operating range 13.5 or 15.5 W
  • Kit weight 53 g
  • Small technical observations

Strong vape

These grids are very thin, so they heat faster and over a larger area than regular wires, so they bring a stronger vape. Their resistance value is also lower, which increases the power, which must be controlled here. With a conventional 3.7 V battery, we would have a power of 28 W, which would be far too much for this kind of MTL vape style. Innokin has therefore equipped its pod with a battery and electronics that produces 2.6 V for 13.5 W power, or 2.8 V for 15.5 W.

To simplify, the EQ has more guts because it consumes more energy, and the 800 mAh battery will not last as long as on a conventional pod. We can count on 130 to 160 puffs, the equivalent of 10 to 15 cigarettes. This might not seem enough to last a day with a classic pod. But the strenght of it makes that one needs less puffs to satisfy its needs in nicotine, at equal rate in the liquid.

To sum up: if you like the hit and you want to vape harder but less often, it’s the pod you need! According to my personal experience, with a liquid nicotine salts dosed at 20 mg, you get your dose in 5 puffs with EQ, against 12 on average for a cigarette, and 10 to 15 with a conventional pod. In short, this pod is not only innovative, it is excellent, on one condition: love and support an important hit.

Little snide observation

Despite the obvious quality of design and production of this pod, Innokin forgot something very silly. When changing the vape power, the LED changes from red to white, or vice versa. But when you go, the button lights up white, to confirm the firing, whatever the power chosen. To know it, switch the pod off and on again: when it is switched on, the LED flashes white or red depending on the current power. It’s not a hindrance, just a little detail forgotten.

In Summary

This pod is excellent, and the only one of its kind to my knowledge by the strength of its hit. This can also be a flaw: it will not suit those who like a sweet vape, that’s what costs him half a point. It’s a strong pod, which can satisfy those who love the hit and need to find satiety quickly during a short break.

Innokin Endura T20-S Review – Endure

The Innokin Endura T20-S is a starter kit designed for mouth-to-lung vaping. It features a one-button design, a 1500mAh battery, and a 2ml tank. The kit includes two 0.8ohm coils, but there is no power flexibility or airflow control. Let’s see how it performs.

Review: Innokin Endura T20-S

Innokin Endura T20-S Review

Manufacturing Quality

The manufacturing quality of the Innokin Endura T20-S is average. While it feels solid and durable, the design is unoriginal and lacking in features – even if it is built with beginners in mind.

The only flexibility you have with this kit is choosing what liquid to fill the tank with. There is only one type of coil included, there isn’t any airflow, and you can’t adjust the power.

That means all you do is turn it on and take a draw. While beginners may like not having to mess around with power levels, even a complete novice might benefit from airflow control.

Innokin Endura T20-S Available Colors

The 1500mAh battery is pretty big for this style of vape, but you better get ready to charge it forever. When I use an internal battery mod, I prefer it to have 2A charging. This is currently the fastest type of micro-USB charging available in mods, at least to my knowledge. The next step down is 1A, and some have .8A. This only has .5A charging!

Another thing worth noting is that the coils are made from kanthal. Coil material is something that can be the cause of very heated debates, but I greatly prefer stainless steel over kanthal because it gives better flavor.

Flavor Quality

The vapor quality produced by this kit is average. It’s designed for mouth-to-lung vaping and maxes out at 18W with a full charge, so the vapor production is on the low side. This is arguably a good thing for beginners though.

The coils deliver good flavor despite being made from kanthal, although there are much better options out there. If you don’t have anything to compare them too, you won’t even realize that the flavor could be better – so I wouldn’t worry too much about this if you are looking for a first vape.

Vapor quality is a subjective thing – you may really enjoy vapor that I greatly dislike – and that’s exactly why flexibility is important. It allows you to dial in the experience to your exact preferences. With this, you are stuck with the stock configuration.

Focus On www.urvapin.com For More Vape Start Kit.

Power Flexibility

This doesn’t have any power flexibility at all. Like I mentioned above, the max wattage output is 18W. You’ll only achieve that with a full charge though. With this vape, the voltage will drop with the battery charge. Lower voltage means less watts, which also means less vapor.

The button on this has a backlight that indicates the charge level. Green means you are good to go, yellow means you’re around halfway, and red means you need to charge it ASAP. In my experience, you should charge it shortly after the light turns yellow because the performance will drop off quickly.

Both of the coils included with the same (0.8ohm), but there is supposed to be at least one other option available rated at 1.5ohm. I did not actually try it though because it doesn’t come in the kit.

Innokin Endura T20-S on back

Ease of Use

Considering there are no settings on this at all, it’s extremely easy to use. You just fill up the tank, turn it on by clicking the button five times, then click and hold the button to take a draw.

To fill the tank, you have to twist the top off. Make sure you only put juice around the outside and not in the center hole.

You have to twist the tank off to access the coil. Only changing the coil when the tank is empty, otherwise you’ll have a mess on your hands.

Portability

The portability of this is good. The size and shape make it comfortable to carry in your pocket, and the 1500mAh is enough to last a while without needing charged.

If you are replacing a smoking habit and this will be your only vape, you may end up having to charge this in the middle of the day.

Innokin Endura T20-S with tank detached

 Overall Experience

I don’t think the Innokin Endura T20-S is a good purchase.

If you are a beginner, you may be tempted by the simplicity. But it’s actually not the easiest to use vape setup you can get, and it lacks the versatility other vapes offer without being any more difficult.

Besides the simplicity, the biggest attraction is probably the price. But even on this front, there are cheaper vapes out there and you shouldn’t let a desire to save money prevent you from getting a vape you’ll actually enjoy.

Aspire Pockex AIO Kit Review

Introduction – The Pockex AIO From Aspire

Of all the vaping companies out there I’m pretty sure the vast majority of you have at one time or another used an Aspire product.aspire pockex review

They do indeed cater to the mass vaping market with a whole range of fantastic devices and tanks and let’s face it you can probably count on one hand Aspire products that haven’t been well received.

So is their latest MTL [mouth to lung] device, the delightfully named the Aspire Pockex, one to attract both new and seasoned vapers?

Let’s delve down and have a closer look.

In the Box

The packaging is the usual fayre from Aspire – functional – black and everything packed into a relatively small space.

  • X1 Pockex AIO device
  • X2 O.6 ohm 316l atomizers
  • X1 USB cable
  • X1 User manual
  • X1 Warranty Card

I’m glad they supplied a spare coil because whilst taking the ‘in hand’ photos I hit the fire button to be greeted by the smell of burning cotton – so do fill your device before you hit the fire button! And give the juice a few minutes to soak into the cotton too!

You’d really think I’d have learned by now lol.Aspire Pockex vape pen starter kit

Pockex Specs

  • Diameter: 19.7mm
  • Length: 117mm

As I’ve said before there’s not a lot you can do to make a pen style vaping device look any different than what it is!

But the Aspire Pockex is very small – perfect for stealth vaping – and extremely light.Aspire Pockex Kit Contents

You’re looking at a simple top fill design with none-adjustable top airflow.

Aspire says the design is 100% leak proof and in the few days I’ve been vaping with it I can say that is indeed the case.

However it’s the changing of the coils that impresses the most. For once there’s no need to drain out your e-liquid when swapping them out as they simply screw into the top cap – a real bonus for me!

The tank is TPD compliant 2mls [booo!] which means plenty of refilling for heavy vapers – however filling is easy enough.

You can either slide off the stainless steel sheath and fill or [as I found out to my cost] keep the sheath on [always advisable lol] so you can see the unobtrusive ‘max fill line’.Pockex sheath tank

Go above that and you will flood e-liquid all over your fingers and more importantly the Pockex.

Design and Build Quality

As you might expect from vaping giant Aspire the build is first rate with silky smooth connections.aspire-pockex-in-review

However I couldn’t help but notice a quite loud rattle from the fire button.

Not a big issue but one I felt I needed to point out as it is also loose on the touch – which might suggest issues down the line.

But then again you’re going to be vaping on it not trying out for the percussion section of your local orchestra.

However the design is music to a design lovers ears. The funky looking cut outs on the sheath add a touch of class and the removable sheath itself is a nice protective touch.Aspire Pockex Vape Parts

The overall brushed stainless steel is smart with the non-removable black slim line Delrin drip tip the same size as a cigarette.

Overall the Aspire Pockex is a very nice looking piece of vaping kit slightly wider but shorter than the Bic biro I jotted down my notes with.

So yeah it will fit in your pocket – purse or handbag with ease.

Focus On www.urvapin.com For Best Vape Tanks.

Operating The Pockex Vape Pen

First up the operating.

It’s a 1500mah battery and fully charged I got almost two full days vaping out of this little beauty.

Five rapid clicks on the fire button turns you on and five off. You do get a bit of a disco light effect with blue LED flashes telling you it’s on and pink telling you it’s off.

The Pockex also lets you know how much power you have in your battery.

Pressing the fire button and seeing blue means you have over 30% power. When it’s less than 30% the light glows pink so time to charge up.Aspire Pockex Parts

The Aspire Pockex charges from the base and the smallish cable supplied allows pass through vaping [able to vape whilst charging].

As I’ve already mentioned mine came with enough juice in the battery to fire up – however I burned the coil as I hadn’t put any e-juice in – so be careful you don’t do the same.

Vaping Safely With in Built protection

As with any of the newer vaping devices safety features are built into the Pockex meaning you can vape safe.

After 10 seconds of use the device will stop firing – this is important if it’s in your pocket or bag and simply means there’s no chance of it dry burning.

It’s the same with any possible short circuit. As soon as the Pockex detects that most rare of events it simply cuts out.

You should never leave any of your vaping devices unattended whilst charging – however the Pockex once full charged once again cuts out automatically.

There’s not a lot more Aspire could have done to make the Pockex as safe as houses so well done them!

How Does The Aspire Pockex Perform?

As I’ve already mentioned filling is an absolute doddle. Simply unscrew the top cap and drip your 2ml of e-liquid into the tank – using of course the max fill line as your guide. How To Fill the Aspire pockex tank

I let my Honeywood e-liquid from Red Vapes  soak in for a good ten minutes and was absolutely delighted with the throat hit – flavour and vapour.Aspire Pockex tank top fill

I’ve always liked Aspire coils and tanks and the Pockex coils or Nautilus X U-Tech as they are also called – gave me a superb taste profile and throat hit.

The vapour was about the same as the smoke you get from a cigarette which when it comes to beginners and regular MTL vapers is all you really need.

Aspire Pockex U Coil swap

Is The Pockex U-Tec Coil Compatible With The Aspire Nautilus X Tank?

According to Aspire. For the Pockex battery, you can only use the 0.6 ohm coil as the vape pen has been designed for use with this.

This would say to me that the battery is a fixed wattage specifically for sub ohm vaping.

If you were to use the 1.8 Ohm coils, they would likely receive too much power/wattage from the Pockex battery which would in turn burn the 1.8Ohm coils.

But.. the 0.6 ohm coil is compatible, and can be used with the Nautilus X tank. Which is a great option for those wanting to try a sub ohm vape from the Nautilus X tank..

What I like

I like the design – size and weight of the Aspire Pockex and as vaping starter kits go it’s got it all.

This little guy does it all for you – all you need to do is fill and vape.

I love the fact you can swap coils without draining your e-liquid and you do great a superb taste and throat hit.

For me Aspire has brought out a great little device that will appeal to newbies and regular MTL vapers and at the bargain price you are getting a good device for your hard earned cash.

What I Don’t Like

I can’t really find fault with the Pockex but if pushed I’d maybe say the rattle from the fire button is a little annoying should you be a vape ‘n shaker.

Final Review Verdict

If I lost it via a hole in my pocket or man bag would I replace it?

Given its price is pretty much pocket change I definitely would.

Pros

  • Great taste
  • Good vapor
  • Superb safety features
  • Pass through vaping
  • Simple to use
  • Top fill
  • Clean coil swap
  • Battery lasts an age

Cons

  • Fire button loose and rattles
