SMOK ROLO BADGE ULTRA-PORTABLE VAPE SYSTEM REVIEW

Do you want to vape without any fuss or hassle? Of course you do, that is the whole point.

Vaping is becoming more and more popular and those wishing to start or make the switch from cigarettes can understandably, feel a little intimidated. There is such a wide range of vaping devices and accessories on the market.

If the idea of buttons, LED screens, firmware, and menus leave you feeling overwhelmed, not to worry.  SMOK has you covered with the Rolo Badge vaping device.

No buttons or fiddly things here, the SMOK Rolo Badge is the perfect introduction to the world of vaping. It’s a no frills, no fuss pod system that is designed for ease of use, convenience and portability.

SMOK make vaping easy to appreciate. Let’s check it out.

SMOK Rolo Badge Pods

So, what is a pod system?

For the uninitiated, a vaping pod is a vaping device that is just a step up from the basic e-cigarettes on the market. Although the concept is similar, they do not share the advanced characteristics of the larger full sized vaping device options available.

Novice users or those who are making the transition from smoking regular cigarettes may find the large devices a bit cumbersome and confusing to use at first. The vaping pod has been designed with these people in mind. Not that advanced users don’t enjoy them too!

These devices are called pod systems because they use pods, small refills of e-liquid. Many pods on the market come with prefilled pods with a variety of flavors.  More recently, newer models allow the user to fill the pods with whatever e-juices they may have a preference for.

The pod vaping system is all about on-the-go simple vaping and compactness of size for easy portability.

Things To Consider When Buying The SMOK Rolo Badge

It’s a Pod Mod

The Rolo Badge should not be compared to most other vaping devices such as the almighty box modor a pen style vaping device, they are completely different devices in form and function.

Lower Wattage

These pod mods are designed with a lower wattage in mind so don’t go in expecting vast plumes of vapor like their larger, more bulky cousins.

Vaping On A Budget

The idea in the design of a pod mod is for it to be a cost-effective and portable device for those new to vaping or making the switch from cigarettes without putting a massive dent on the wallet.

SMOK Rolo Badge Ultra-Portable Review

Right, so now that we know what the Rolo badge is and who the ideal user base it’s targeted at, let’s jump in and review the vaping pod.

The first thing you will notice about the device is the unique shape. The shape is similar to a traditional metallic police badge or teardrop which sets it apart from other vape devices which are more often than not pen style or box style devices.

There are no distinguishing markings on the pod beside the SMOK branding and a small LED light which indicates the status of the pod and the battery life.

The Rolo pod is built in two sections, the main body of the pod containing a 250mAh (milliamp hours) battery and the refillable and replaceable pod system which fits neatly on top of the device.

One of the handiest features of the Rolo Badge is how the replaceable mods attached magnetically as opposed to using friction sealing or clips. The magnetic attachment makes the refillable pods easy to remove and replace.

The pod contains an e-liquid tank that holds up to two milliliters of e-juice and houses the coil and drip tip. This gives the Rolo Badge fewer working parts to fiddle with making it an ideal device for the novice vaper to fire up and enjoy.

Weighing in at only 62 grams the Rolo Badge is designed to be extremely portable and easily carried in the pocket for a quick vape on the go.

There are a number of nifty colors and finishes for you to choose from. These include Black, Gold, Blue, Chromium, and a funky rainbow design. There is even a rubberized version available.

SMOK have also included a micro USB port to the device for easy charging. As the battery is only 250mAh the device charges quickly.

Pros

  • Good quality build
  • Eye-catching design

Vaporesso Veco Solo Review: Breakdown

Build Quality

Depending on the color option you end up getting for the Veco Solo, you’ll end up with a slightly different aesthetic approach to the design. The black and stainless steel version highlight a splash of red plastered around the fire button which may or may not be up your alley. The rainbow and blue versions feature a relatively cleaner look. All color variants have minimal branding with the exception of the Vaporesso lego etched towards the bottom of the mod.

The Veco Solo is a tiny little device measuring at 22 * 100mm and at just around 85 grams. It’s undoubtedly one of the lightest and most compact mods in its form factor. its tubular shaft like design is smooth and streamlined without any sharp edges that might snag on to clothing ensuring that inserting and removing it from your pocket is quick and easy. Despite its minimal weight, the Veco Solo feels pretty sturdy thanks to its solid zinc alloy and stainless steel construction that permeates throughout the entire chassis.

The mod is as simple as it comes. Aside from the singular firing button, there really isn’t much to be said about the device itself. The button lights up and flashes to indicate whether it’s switched off or on which is induced by the standard 5 clicks. The included proprietary tank utilizes a Delrin drip tip that keeps heat away from your lips which is especially handy during extended vaping sessions.

Everything about the Veco Solo screams “easy to use” thanks to the lack of clutter that populates the body of the device. Turning the mod on is easy with a simple 5 clicks with the same 5 clicks to turn it off. The tank is also remarkably spartan without any discerning marks or features setting it apart from the competition which further leans toward the concept of simplicity when using this device.

Vapor Quality

Despite the lack of adjustable airflow on the included tank, the Veco Solo performs admirably well. The included EUC coils do a good job of creating a smooth and balanced airflow that maximizes vapor and flavor production with little compromise to either. The included tank holds up to a maximum of 2ml of eliquid and utilizes an easy top fill mechanism which involves screwing off the top cap and dripping eliquid down the glass chamber. Thanks to the smooth threads, doing so is effortless though it would’ve been nice to see Vaporesso take a page out of Joyetech or Smok’s book with their even more convenient swivel top cap which doesn’t require any threads at all.

Replacing the coil heads is far from complicated as well. Just screw off the tank from the base then proceed to unscrew the coilhead and replace it with a fresh one. The kit comes packaged with an EUC Ceramic coil rated at 0.3ohms and a standard EUC coil head rated at 0.2 ohms. Both coils perform favorably in terms of durability easily lasting a week although this is also dependent on the quality of the eliquid that you use.

Another great feature of the Veco Solo tank is it promises to be 100% leak free, and although I haven’t used it enough to completely verify this, it hasn’t leaked in the entire 4-5 days I’ve been testing it which is a good indicator so far.

Focus On www.urvapin.com For More Vape Start Kit.

Versatility

The Veco Solo being starter kit designed for beginners doesn’t offer anything at all besides the standard vaping mode which activates when pressing the fire button. So if you’re looking for features such as temperature control, preheat, or customisable TCR and feel that these features are important to you, it’s probably a good idea to looks elsewhere. Personally, I have no qualms with the performance of the device.

Having said all of the above it should be noted that the Veco Solo is not a variable wattage device and vapes at a predetermined power output which is also dependent on the remaining battery levels. Output at the beginning is pretty strong but you’re going to experience diminishing clouds and flavor as the day goes on as the battery levels drop.

Portability

I would love to give the Veco Solo a perfect 10/10 in this regard. The form factor is just perfect, it slips into pockets easily and has no problems fitting into bags or purses no matter how small the compartment.

Unfortunately where it falls flat is the rather average battery life rated at a mere 1500mAh. Given the low resistance of the included coils and the default power output of this mod, the battery life on this device drops pretty quickly with regular use throughout the day. If you’re set to use this device as a daily driver for all day use it might be a good idea to carry a power bank around for easy USB charging on the go.

Conclusion

The Veco Solo is an ideal device for beginners to start on their vaping journey. It vapes great and looks stylish while also being remarkably portable and easy to hold.  Just be wary of the low longevity of the internal battery as its likely to die on you before the days end.

If you are looking for something a good starter mod style vape check out the SMOK G150 and if you are just looking for the best check out the SMOK Procolor.

OBS Cheetah II RDA review by VapeMaster

OBS Cheetah II RDA

It wasn’t so long ago that we reviewed the Cheetah RDA which was a decent 22mm budget RDA, but now Chinese manufacturer OBS have released the Cheetah II. Unlike the original Cheetah, the version II is 24mm in diameter, has a completely redesigned deck and features traditional side airflow instead of top airflow. The question is are these changes an improvement? Let’s find out!

Focus On www.urvapin.com For Best Vape Tanks.

OBS Cheetah II RDA features

  • 304 Stainless Steel Construction.
  • Diameter: 24mm.
  • Height: 34.2mm.
  • Weight: 32g.
  • Well Depth: 5 mm
  • Central Split-Post Design Featuring Post Hole and Clamp System.
  • Post holes: 3 mm x 1.5 mm
  • Clamp space: 3.5 mm x 1.5 mm
  • PEI Drip Tip
  • Available Colours: Stainless Steel, Black, Gold. Blue.

What’s in the box?

  • 1x OBS Cheetah II RDA.
  • 2 x Clapton Coils.
  • Spare O-Rings.
  • Spare Screws.
  • Organic Cotton.
  • Screwdriver.

OBS Cheetah II RDA styling and build quality

The Cheetah II is 24mm in diameter and constructed entirely from 304 Stainless Steel. There is also a Gold version available including a Gold-plated deck. I thought the overall finish of the Stainless Steel version received for review was extremely good and there were no sharp edges or defects. The top cap is certainly thinner compared to some RDA’s which I own but it feels durable. The top cap is secured by two O-rings and if you don’t lubricate these well the cap can be something of a pain to get off, especially when you first receive it.

There are two logos on this RDA and while very obvious they are nicely done. On one side you have the name “Cheetah” and on the other side there is a nicely engraved pair of mirrored Cheetah heads. At the upper most part of the top cap there is knurling so you can easily adjust the airflow when needed. The airflow consists of two 10mm wide Cyclops style slots.

Included with the RDA is a pre-fitted 17mm wide bore drip tip constructed from PEI which is essentially a different type of Ultem which apparently stays slightly cooler. The only problem with this drip tip is that it does not use a standard 510 fitting and there is no 510 adapter included in the packaging. Regardless it feels very comfortable on the lips and definitely does the job minimising heat transfer.

The deck is especially unique and features a hybrid style design. The split centre post arrange features a half clamp and half screw system and these are secured by the four screws at the top. What is nice is the increased build area which is now available due to this redesign. The well is approximately 5mm deep but is actually split with no way for the juice to flow through so you will need to fill up each side separately when dripping.

Airflow

The airflow consists of two Cyclops’s style slots and is adjusted by turning the knurled section of the top cap. I had no problems at all with adjustment and the airflow has a nice amount of variety. You can either keep it fully opened up for a direct lung inhale style of vaping or dial it down to a restrictive lung inhale. Closing it down almost to nothing nearly gives you a very good mouth to lung vape but I suspect it might still feel a bit loose for some.

Ease of build

Building the Cheetah II RDA is very straightforward. The screws hold the wire securely but do require a little force to tighten down. The hole and clamp design means you can certainly get thicker wire types in there if you wish and the overall build area is larger compared to the very restrictive Cheetah RDA. I decided against going down the typical Clapton route this time and went for a very simple dual 26gauge 3mm ID build which had a final Resistance of 0.5ohm.

Focus On www.urvapin.com For Best Vape Tanks.

How does it vape?

I primed the wicks and filled up the well with some Aqua E-Liquids Oasis which is a peach and papaya tropical flavour. I took my first vape at 40 Watts and noticed just how airy this RDA is. In some respects it’s a little too airy for my tastes but I’m sure it will delight the cloud chasing fans!

I dialled the airflow down to half since I was already getting more than enough airflow from the wide bore drip tip. Nevertheless the Cheetah II airflow was very smooth and in some respects reminded me of both the CSMNT and the Goon RDA’s.

Flavour was extremely good, the juice tasted seriously mouth-watering and delicious. Obviously you will get even better results if you choose to go for a Clapton setup or a more exotic build but even with a pretty standard build I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. Vapour production was also pretty impressive and if you’re chain vaping things will fog up fast!

The top cap does tend to heat up quickly but thankfully the heat does not transfer to your lips due to the Ultem drip tip. What I did like a lot is the fact that the well holds a good amount of juice so I never felt like I was constantly refilling it.

Conclusion

While the Cheetah II RDA has certainly undergone some revisions in comparison to the previous model I personally feel it is a significant improvement. The locking top cap on the original was a nice enough idea but not a very useful from a practical point of view because you always had to line it back up after removing it. The Cheetah II’s larger deck thanks to the 24mm diameter as opposed to the Cheetah’s 22mm and the new post configuration is also much better since it now allows for bigger builds and offers more space for wicking.

I did actually like the top airflow of the Cheetah RDA but I think that the traditional side airflow offers better flavour which is certainly a noticeable step up in terms of quality. Cloud production and airflow has also skyrocketed compared to the original though you can dial the airflow back to your liking. There are only a few things which I am not especially keen on. Firstly I don’t like the split well design because it means you have to keep angling your juice bottle when dripping through the drip tip or instead take off the top cap for more precise results. The second minor issue is the very thin top cap which can take some effort to remove sometimes and does tend to heat up significantly at high Wattage, fortunately the Ultem drip tip does alleviate things.

Other problems will depend entirely on your own preferences such as no Squonk pin option, the fact that the drip tip isn’t a 510 fitting and does not include an adapter along with the RDA supporting dual coil builds only. However on the whole and considering the low price point this is very good RDA which offers great flavour and clouds. It is much better than the original in my opinion and well worth checking out!

Also keep in mind that there is a 22mm mini version of the Cheetah II RDA available which I expect vapes the same but there will be far less deck space to play with.

Coil Master RAY RTA – the second RTA in a row

The company Coil Master with a head rushed to the “development of virgin land” production of atomizers, now you will not say about it – and, these are those that make all kinds of accessories for winding … The latest novelty was ELFY RTA . The next novelty of Coil Master RAY RTA , has become the fourth atomizer released by the company.

In general, the design is very similar to its predecessor. If they lie next to each other, you can easily be mistaken if you do not pay attention to the drift and dome. Apparently for this purpose, the RAY RTA dome from the outside was not painted with black paint. Here compare.
Coil Master RAY RTA - the second RTA in a row
ELFY RTA was more focused on medium-tight tightening, while our hero was created for “bulk”. The design is classic, laconic, no frills, only functional.

The 810th dripper is made of dolphin. Under it is a thick top cap, fixed with thread, the thread is not short. The holes for refueling are huge, limited by the rim.
Coil Master RAY RTA - the second RTA in a row
As for the evaporation chamber, it increased, well, that’s understandable – there are now two spirals. The diameter of the dome shaft also became larger. Cone processing “beam”, and this is how its name is translated, it is taken from an ancestor.
Coil Master RAY RTA - the second RTA in a row
Having looked at the base, you will not find anything new there. Proven classics – bicycle racks on hexagon screws. Two oval apertures of lower blowing, fairly wide. There is no possibility to install one spiral.

WISMEC Reuleaux RX Gen3 Kit Review

WISMEC has won me over. After several years of avoiding the company’s RX line of 3- and 4-battery mods because of looks, size and sheer excess, WISMEC finally made a mod that even the biggest skeptics can appreciate – the WISMEC Reuleaux RX Gen3.

And to seal the deal even further, they threw in a sweet little tank to go with it. This kit caught me by surprise, and has rapidly become a go-to device for me at home, on the road, and seemingly everywhere in between. Let’s see why.

Anything four can do, three can do better…

First impressions aren’t everything…

At first glance, the WISMEC Reuleaux RX Gen3 looks like “just another” WISMEC mod, right down to the triangular wedge shape, the JayBo branding, and the Tron-era graphics that adorn the box. It’s a design concept that WISMEC has employed for a while, with only the recent RX300 QUAD-battery box straying from the path.

Thankfully, that’s where the similarities end, because opening the packaging reveals much more thoughtfulness and smart design.

The size will be a bone of contention for WISMECfans looking for another similarly styled RX mod. But I doubt these people will have a problem with the rest of the kit, which includes a Gnome sub-ohm tank, spare glass, extra coil, USB cable, 510 drip tip and adapter, and the usual assortment of warranty and warning cards.Opening the box, users will see that the ReuleauxRX Gen3 is NOTICEABLY smaller and more compact than its big brothers, yet still claims to hit a legitimate 300-watt output using just three 18650 cells. Our brown/black test model looked entirely more streamlined than previous Wismec offerings, and felt great in the hand – weighty, but not heavy – upon removing it from the foam insert.

A special top of the cap to WISMEC for one of the best, most thorough set of manuals seen on a Chinese product. Both the device and Gnome instructions are well-translated and easy to understand – hardly a given in today’s vape marketplace. The only black mark is the translation error that indicated the RX Gen3came with three 18650 cells – I had to look in the box twice to make sure my kit wasn’t pilfered during shipment.

Focus On www.ave40.com For More Vape Devices.

Size is overrated… features are not

In the hands, the Reuleaux RX Gen3 just feels right. Not just for the obvious size difference, but also because WISMEC made a smart move by moving the battery door to the bottom of the device, instead of the oddly flimsy back door design that left noticeable gaps on previous editions. Even the failed RX 2/3 adjustable format did little to rectify the unfinished feel of the mod. The RX Gen3, on the other hand, feels solid, complete, and altogether more confident.

Once the batteries are installed, the bright 1.3-inch OLED display employs an attractive, easy to read series of hexagons indicating wattage/voltage, temperature, coil resistance, puff counter and duration, battery charge levels and more.

Three easy clicks bring you to the mode menu, where you can quickly jump between wattage and a full slate of temperature controls options, including nickel, titanium, stainless steel, three TCR modes, and resistance lock.

Despite its 300-watt capability, the Reuleaux RX Gen3 is by no means unsafe. Wismec smartly included a range of protection features that are clearly displayed on the screen when needed, eliminating any confusion about causes of failure.

Instead, the large screen indicates atomizer low, short, temperature alerts, 10-second cutoff, weak or imbalanced batteries, USB connectivity problems, charging errors and even battery installation problems. This is a powerful mod, and having these protections in place – in an easy-to-understand manner – are key for safe vaping.

How does the Reuleaux RX Gen3 Perform?

WISMEC Reuleaux RX Gen3 Kit Review - Spinfuel Vape MagazineLet’s get the obvious question out of the way first – can the WISMEC Reuleaux RX Gen3 TRULY hit 300 watts using just three 18650 cells? Yes, my friends, yes it can. Not for long, mind you. But for everyday vapers looking to fly a little closer to the sun, yes, the RX Gen3 is a great cloud chucker.

Obviously, with only three batteries under the hood, anything north of 200 watts is going to drain power quickly and inefficiently. But using a build just a hair higher of the Gen3’s 0.05-ohm bottom limit, I managed to successfully and comfortably puff at 300 watts for longer than expected. The device  got warm, but never too hot, and the vapor production was nothing short of massive.

That said, I don’t feel this is the best use of the device. I believe the 300-watt headroom is nice, but when using the RX Gen 3 at a more reasonable 70-100 watts, it really began to sing – with and without its included Gnome sub-ohm tank. At these levels, I experienced fantastic flavor and vapor using a variety of tanks and drippers – all of which sat flush, and performed admirably on the Reuleaux RX Gen3.

The battery life is also an item worth noting. When used with the Gnome tank at 70-90 watts, I got nearly nine (!) hours of steady vaping before the cells began to skip a beat. The RX Gen 3 utilizes a proprietary battery balancing system to ensure the device never falters, even if the cells aren’t draining at equal levels.

Though the battery indicators showed some distinct level differences when vaping, by the time I reached the end of testing, they were evenly matched, and still performing when I opted for a recharge. And, using the onboard 2A charging, the cells were full and ready to go in just under three hours (though the device was a little warm afterwards).

Moving into temperature control, I very easily switched between coil types and set customer TCR levels through the intuitive on-screen interface. I would have appreciated some form of PC/MAC software to make preheating and temp curves easier, but that’s nitpicking – the onscreen menus do the job admirably without too many finger gymnastics to get in the way.

Vaping in temp control was predictably excellent, with accurate, flavorful performance throughout my lineup of test coils. Though I prefer to vape no higher than 425 degrees Fahrenheit, the RX Gen3 never wavered, all the way to the max 600-degree temperature limit.

One odd item of note – despite the symmetric, more palm-friendly design, Wismec chose to offset the 510-connection atop the RX Gen 3. Now, I won’t claim to know how these devices are made, and the device certainly packs a lot of technology into a small space. But moving the connector to the center position would allow for a much wider range of atomizers to sit without overhang.

As it stands, any tank or RDA wider than 25mm will jut out slightly. It’s not a deal-breaker, and doesn’t affect performance, but I would have loved to see how the Reuleaux RX Gen3handled a 30mm tank.

About the Gnome

The included WISMEC Gnome sub-ohm tank is a flavor-focused atomizer, with strong Kanthal coils and serious potential. I just wish the damn thing was bigger!

With just 2ml of capacity, bottom airflow control, and the ability to chuck vapor with the best of them, the Gnome functions almost like a dripper, since you’ll be refilling e-liquid about as often as you would with an RDA. That said, it’s absolutely amazing while it lasts.

Using the pre-installed WM02 dual-coil head, the Gnome produced some of the most flavorful and abundant vapor I’ve had in some time, even at relatively low wattage. I imagine the proximity of the coil to the mouthpiece plays a role in this, but I’ve used RDAs that didn’t produce these results.

The WM03 triple coil head is rated for up to 130 watts, but really doesn’t need it. I had no issues at those levels, but enjoyed equally flavorful, thick vapor at 80-90 watts, rendering the higher limit a little excessive.

Regardless, I’m currently on day five with the WM02, and it is still operating above and beyond expectations. Though I can’t expect much more from this solitary coil, it’s nice to know the Gnome will endure a wade range of wattages and heavy use before breaking down.

I would have loved to see an RBA head included to demonstrate how the Gnomeperformed with temp control coils and higher-wattage scenarios. But there is one available, and I will be purchasing it as soon as it arrives at a shop near me.

Final Thoughts…

The WISMEC Reuleaux RX Gen3 is a feature-filled vape device, for a very attractive kit price. With true, proven power under the hood, ergonomic design, and easy to use menus and features, the RX Gen3 is a complete package that will appeal to volume vapers and sub-ohm newcomers alike.

Though I’ve avoided purchasing Reuleaux series mods in the past, I’ve always considered them before opting for more pocket-friendly options. Their reputations were excellent, as were the price points. But I ultimately found holding and operating them to be clunky and unwieldy. Wismec has more than rectified this problem here.

Ply Rock Limitless Pulse Review – Refillable Pod System

About the Ply Rock Limitless Pulse

The Ply Rock Limitless Pulse is a refillable pod vape pen which is a direct competitor to the Pax JUUL.  The Pulse is automatically activated when inhaling the device.  Some features that make the pulse stand out over its competitors is the ability to refill the pods with a vape juice of choice and that utilizes a micro-USB port for recharging.  These pod systems have been highly successful at getting smokers off cigarettes.  The Pulse is available in seven different colors which include White, Black, Blue, Red, Gold, Rose Gold and Silver.

Focus On www.urvapin.com For More Vape Start Kit.

Functions

Although the Limitless Pulse comes with one button, it does not need to be pressed to vape. The device works automatically and initiates once it is inhaled. The button serves three purposes:

  • To turn the device on or off (click 5x)
  • To change the color of the light displayed when vaped (click once per color)
  • To go into Stealth mode (click 3x)
ply rock limitless pulse

The Limitless Pulse can display up to seven colors.

A user can pick up to seven colors which include: red, light blue, lime, green, turquoise, dark blue, and purple. Stealth mode is a great feature to have when not wanting to draw any attention while vaping. The device is still on, but the bright LED lights are turned off in this mode. This discreet function is best when vaping in restaurants, movie theaters or anywhere else where vaping may be frowned upon.

Safety Features

  • Low Battery Warning
  • Low Resistance

Limitless Pulse Battery

The Pulse battery is rated at 350 mAh and generates 8 watts of power. A typical Vaper can vape for approximately three to four hours before needing to recharge. The device utilizes a micro-USB port for charging and it is pass-through enabled, which means it can be vaped while charging. A full charge can be achieved in as little as 40 minutes.

Pulse Pods

ply rock limitless pulse

The Pulse Pod can be refilled by removing the mouthpiece and lifting the orange rubber seal.

The Limitless Pulse kit comes with a pre-installed refillable pod and a spare pod.  The great thing about the Pulse is that Vapers can choose what vape juice they want to use.  Lets face it, most pre-filled pods are not known for their great tasting vape juice, so this is a definite plus.  Each pod can be refilled approximately 30 times before needing to be replaced.  Light to moderate vapers can arguably vape for a month or two before needing to purchase additional pods.  Replaceable pods come in packs of three and currently cost about $15.00.  This device works with Nicotine Salt based vape juice.

Suggested Vape Juice: SaltNic VGOD vape juice is highly recommended for these types of pod systems. SaltNic is based out of southern California and have some amazing Nicotine Salt based vape juice. I recommend the Cubano Black or LushIce.

Source differ on how much vape juice these pods can hold, the numbers range from 1.0 to 2.0 ml of juice. A full pod should provide 150-200 puffs before needing to be refilled.  That equals to about 1.5 to 2 hours of vaping.

The pods utilize a silica wicking material and are rated at 1.8 ohm resistance.

Coilart Azeroth RDTA Review

Introduction: Coilart Azeroth

Coilart’s latest atomizer is known as the Azeroth.

A Rebuildable Dripping Tank Atomizer or RDTA for short.Coilart Azeroth RDTA review

It is made from stainless steel and reinforced glass, has a 4ml capacity and has an interesting build deck that features post clamps to ensure a secure connection for your builds.

A large vortex styled airflow configuration also means that this can compete with the best of them when it comes to cloud chasing!

  • Coilart Azeroth RDTA
  • 510 drip tip adaptor
  • Alternative delrin drip tip
  • Spare glass tank
  • Screwdriver
  • Post screws
  • O-rings
  • Two spare post clamps

Key features

  • 4ml capacity
  • 24mm width
  • 54mm height
  • Manufactured from stainless steel with a glass tank section
  • Side filling port
  • Choice of two drip tips
  • 510 drip tip adaptor
  • Large build deck with gold plated clamp system
  • 510 threaded
  • Comes in silver or black

Design and Build Quality

The Coilart Azeroth has your atypical RDTA design, with a rebuildable dripping atomizer styled deck at the top, and underneath this there is a 4ml tank reservoir.

It has very good build quality, being made from 304 grade stainless steel, with food grade pyrex glass used for the tank.

Threading overall is very smooth indeed, and it all feels like a well manufactured piece of kit.

A 4ml capacity is available with the Coilart Azeroth, so it does hold plenty of juice, and this is refilled through a hole located on the side.

How To Fill The Coilart Azeroth

To gain access and reveal the filling port, you just need to slide the top cap upwards. Teen of course just fill with your chosen liquid.

Be sure to make sure the top cap has been firmly replaced once done filling. How to fill the Coilart Azeroth RDTA

Threading

The 510 threading features a gold plated 510 connector, which protrudes fairly far out from the connector itself.

Being gold plated this means you get extra conductivity over standard stainless steel/brass connector pins, making this good for use with mechanical mods.Coilart Azeroth RDTA base

The 510 connector pin is adjustable with a flat headed screwdriver, so you can make sure that you get a nice flush fit with no gap between your Coilart Azeroth and your chosen mod.

Coilart Azeroth Build Deck

A unique feature of the Coilart Azeroth is the gold plated clamp system that is used on the build deck.Coilart Azeroth Build Deck

Inserting Your Coil Build & Wicking

To insert your coil build:

  • Unscrew the post screws
  • Lift the clamps up
  • Slot your coils in

After this, you tighten the screws down and the clamps should hold your build steady for you.

There are also ample wicking holes present for you to simply push the ends of your wick through, meaning that it does make wicking this RDTA very easy indeed.Coilart Azeroth RDTA

Unfortunately..

Even though the clamp system is a great idea in principle, I found that the build deck was quite possibly the worst aspect of this tank.

It isn’t user friendly in the slightest, and if you like building large coils then the clamp system will frustrate you immensely.Coilart Azeroth clamp system

The clamps and the screws that hold them simply aren’t big enough to hold down your coil legs securely if you are using a large coil build, which I suspect many potential users of this RDTA would like to do.

Airflow

The Coilart Azeroth appeals directly to those that enjoy chasing clouds and a very airy draw, as there is a vast amount of airflow to be found.

There are large airflow slots around the top cap, which you can be adjusted by rotating the top cap to your liking.

Even if you close the airflow down, this still gives you a pretty airy draw, so if you like a tight draw you may want to look at buying something else.

How Does The Coilart Azeroth Perform?

I was left really impressed with how the Coilart Azeroth performed, it’s no slouch when it comes to flavour or vapour!

Firstly I felt that the flavour from this RDTA really was up there with the top RDTA’s on the market right now, it produces a very enjoyable and flavourful vape and I never felt that I had any issues with muted flavour.Coilart Azeroth parts

If you like putting a lot of power through your RDTA’s, then this still keeps up even at high wattage levels.

As you would expect from an RDTA in this style, sporting the airflow that it has, the Coilart Azeroth is excellent for cloud chasing.

You can get a very airy hit from this RDTA, and some pretty huge vapour can be produced too.

It does seem to stay cool when subjected to low resistance builds, which is another plus point for cloud chasers.

The 4ml tank capacity won’t last too long though, so thankfully it’s pretty painless to refill.

What I Liked

The overall performance of the Coilart Azeroth is great. I felt it performed really well at giving both a really flavourful vape, and being able to produce a lot of vapour.

The build quality is pretty much top notch, save for the troublesome build deck, with a real premium finish to it too.

It does seem to stay pretty cool under high wattage use, which is a major plus point for those who like sub ohm builds.

What I Don’t Like

I didn’t like the fact that single coil builds aren’t catered for here, you are restricted to a dual coil build only.

The post clamps are to put it bluntly, a nightmare to build with, and they do taint the experience of what is actually a very well performing atty.

They are supposed to hold your builds securely in place however I found them too flimsy to hold large coil builds down properly.

The Coilart Azeroth isn’t a beginner friendly atomizer, this is one that people with a fair amount of rebuilding experience will need to get to grips with.

It really isn’t easy to build, and it would give a newbie nightmares!

Final Review Verdict

Overall the Coilart Azeroth is a real top performing RDTA, that has performed as well as any other RDTA that I have tried.

But overall the whole experience was let down by the difficulty experienced when building it.

If you can get around the difficulty in building this RDTA, then you will be rewarded with an atomizer that produces top class flavour and vapour too.

Pros

  • Great flavour
  • Big vapour production
  • Very well priced
  • Easy to fill
  • Great looks
  • Lots of airflow options
  • Two different styles of drip tip included which can affect your vape
  • Stays cool under low resistance use

Cons

  • Dual coil only
  • Post clamp system is a nightmare
  • Not beginner friendly
  • Very thirsty
  • Will leak if side filling port not closed off properly
  • Will also leak if wicking holes are not properly covered

What Comes With The SMOK ProColor 225W Kit

Packed inside the well-designed cardboard box of the ProColor 225W Kit is the device itself, a TFV8 Big Baby Sub Ohm Tank with a preinstalled 0.4 ohm coil, a second 0.15 ohm coil, a spare Pyrex Glass replacement tube, one micro-USB charging cable, a spare o-rings pack, two vape bands and a user manual.

SMOK ProColor Design & Features Overview

The SMOK ProColor 225W Box Mod’s dimensions are 85mm x 46mm x 29.5mm, fits atomizers up to 28mm for no overhang and weighs about 150 grams. The device features a stainless steel 510 connection and is outfitted with a spring-loaded and brass-coated stainless steel 510 connecting pin. It is furnished with a lateral side activation bar that is easy to fire with a slight squeeze.

The SMOK ProColor 225W is coated with a more durable paint finish and has a clear coat to avoid the paint chipping issue previous SMOK device models had. Surrounding the screen of the device is the eye-catching shield shaped LED light-up bezel of the device. Definitely the crowning jewel of this vaporizer the LED Bezel has 12 different vibrant color settings, 5 light styles and 3 different light-up variations—for a truly customizable look.

The display of the SMOK ProColor 225W is crystal clear and very appealing to the eye, it also does a great job of being able to pack a lot of information in a limited area. With the HD display on, a user can keep a good track of the device’s settings like atomizer resistance, current battery level, voltage, puff counter and more. The menu is easy to use, though having to switch between a long press or short press of the ProColor’s buttons to navigate the menu is a pretty inefficient feature as a user can easily mess up their presses and can lead back to the beginning of the menu.

The SMOK ProColor has preheat and temperature control capabilities and even a memory mode so a user can input specific settings to pair with different atomizers and quickly switch to the matching setting with a few clicks. The mod has a maximum power output of up to 225 watts with a voltage range of 0.5 to 9.0 volts and has a resistance range of 0.1 ohm – 3.0 ohms in VW Mode and 0.06 ohms to 3.0 ohms in TC Modes. The device is also furnished with built-in safety features such as short circuit protection, overheat protection, low battery protection and a 12 second cut-off for a foolproof vaping experience.

A Cloud-Churner with the TFV8 Big Baby Beast

Paired with the Big Baby Beast Sub Ohm Tank, the SMOK ProColor 225W truly performs. The Big Baby Beast Sub Ohm Tank is included with the full kit version of the device and is well-known for its ability to create huge clouds and delicious flavor with each puff. Preinstalled in the tank is a 0.4 ohm Q2 atomizer coil for robust flavor and as a back up a 0.15 ohm T8 octuple coil is included which churns out incredible clouds.

Overall Conclusion

During use the performance of the SMOK ProColor 225W Box Mod is pretty remarkable and promising, although it sports a 225 watt rating, it didn’t perform at that level (as with similar devices). It maxed out at around 190 watts to 200 watts but is a good number and was still impressive in its cloud-churning abilities.

For those who are huge fan of the Alien 220W Box Mod, upgrading to the SMOK ProColor 225W Box Mod is a great idea. The device is solidly built and feels great in the hand, the LED Lights are a fun addition to its performance capabilities (definitely a great conversation starter) and the HD Display is informative and easy to read though navigation could use a little work. Paired with the TFV8 Big Baby Beast Sub Ohm Tank, this device is a true pleasure to use and makes an excellent choice for a daily vape setup.
