When I first heard the name of Voopoo Drag 157w, I was actually surprised by both its name and the maximum wattage. As you can see, they both are odd, really. I’m going to disclose its reality here for you. Let’s check it out.
Voopoo Drag 157w is packed in a hat box with the classic red-black color scheme. The material of the box cover is very similar to leather. On it, there is printed with its brand Voopoo and the name of this box mod, DRAG(with Genen Chip) on the front side. On one of the side faces, there is also printed with the brand name “Voopoo”.
When you remove the cover, you will see the box mod, really a box is in the middle of it. It feels , o me , a little bit heavyt(an 47kg young lady. ) From its weight, I can tell this box mod is made of very good material and of pretty good quality. I’ve tried to figure out what the material is, but did not find the exact answer yet. Under the interlayer, there is the accessories including a USB cable, a warranty card, a user manual and a gene chip card.
From the picture you can see, Voopoo Drag mod is totally a box mod with two diagonal corners cut off. It’s said that the material of the front side is made carbon fiber. On the opposite side, there is engraved with the name of the box mod–DRAG. The shape of it just echoes the carbon fiber panel of the opposite side.
On the top, as you can see, there is the 510 connector with two screws fixing it firmly to the mod. I tried with screwing my new Coilart Dpro RDA on it and I pulled the integrated top cap off from the RDA with great force. The result is that the the 510 connector stayed unswervingly on the box mod. Thought I didn’t try to pull it with pliers, I’m sure there would be completely no worry of a loose connector in normal use. At the bottom, there are two lines of needle-styled venting holes, totally twelve. Besides, there is also engraved with not-to-mention-here information.
On one of the side faces, there is the fire button, screen, two adjustment buttons “+” “-”, and the USB port. The fire button is pretty ergonomically designed and the feedback of pressing is very ringing. The screen is not very big, displaying corresponding information and battery remnant power under different modes. The two adjustment buttons are in vertical arrangement.
The panel with the character “Drag” on it is actually the cover of the battery compartment. On the inner side of it, there are two magnet strips on it. (see picture) In the battery compartment, the negative and positive poles are clearly designated, and two of the electrode points are spring loaded with pretty strong elastic force. At the side, there is a draw cord as you see on many other box mods.
The detailed information has been depicted in the user manual. Here I still want to give a brief introduction.
To press the fire button five times continuously, you turn on the box mod. Long-pressing the fire button to take draws. Press the fire button three time continuously, you can switch between the different mode, VW mode, TC-SS mode, TC-Ti mode and TC-Ni mode. By pressing the “+”and”-” button simultaneously for 1.5 seconds, you will enter into the selection interface, including W (normal mode), M (customization mode, totally ), SN (Serial Number), Software version.
To some new vapers, the operation can be pretty simple. To the experienced vapers, it will bring much of fun with the customization mode and its up-gradable firmware.
